Located in southwestern Chandrar, it takes three days of near-constant flight via magical carpet to reach A'ctelios from Germina.

The denizens of A'ctelios harvest the flesh of their home for consumption, once they are of age to willingly choose to eat it. Currently, all five of its eyes, brain and parts of its upper body have been hollowed out and are inhabited by its citizens. There are multiple districts with distinct communities within the great corpse.<ref name=":2">[https://wanderinginn.com/2023/06/04/interlude-trade-and-travel/ Interlude - Trade and Travel]</ref> The flesh never rots, as it is "made of magic and time",<ref name=":1">[[Chapter 7.09 K]]</ref> and is compared to Dragonflesh, which has some similar qualities.

The residents undergo physical changes from eating the flesh of their home, such as extended lifespans, pointed teeth, or claws. They may also gain the [Fleshchosen] suffix to their class. However, they need to regularly consume A'ctelios's flesh; otherwise their hunger can grow to the point of insanity and start to consume any flesh, living or dead.<ref>[[Chapter 9.23 GGGGGGGGG]]</ref> Inhabitants may reach a second stage of transformation, called a true awakening, and such events are considered cause for great joy and alarm. Its killers were considered heroes, and subsequently began hollowing out its corpse and living inside of it. ==Economy==
A'ctelios Salash has a vast trading area and traders can enter freely, which makes the city rich. But traders do not stray far or travel below the first layer, due to the city's reputation. Visitors to the city are told not to eat their rotless meat, and the residents are meant to warn them of the risks if they choose to eat it.

They sell meat, leather, and bone. Visiting traders that sell food specify that it's from the outside. Meat from A'ctelios is sold at four coppers for a thick cut, the same price for a Yellat in [[Reim]]. Outside of A'ctelios, the meat is taxed for entering by most cities on Chandrar. It is inspected for any bite mark and wrapped until it leaves the city, as per the Pact of A'ctelios. These procedures are also costly, and the guards of the flesh are under magical contract so that if someone eats the flesh in the city without the owner's consent, they would be put to death.

Healing services are offered by [Formshapers], also called [Flesh Mages] and [Fleshshapers], can warp flesh, work with living tissue just as [Necromancers] work with dead tissue. This lets them heal all physical maladies, and they can be hired for this service. They are known to fix birth conditions for the residents.<ref name=":1" />

The people of A'ctelios use ''Pakheil'' as beasts of burden and are huge, fleshy beasts that were once people. Becoming a ''Pakheil'' is a gamble from eating the meat of A'ctelios, with outsiders having a greater chance of becoming ''Pakheil'' than natives. A'ctelios Salash is a Shield Kingdom, one of the most ancient nations in the world, tasked with defending Chandrar from [[Dragons]]. Eating the meat of the city makes residents more resilient, and change their bodies, forming weapons from their flesh. They are stronger inside their home, able to heal from deep wounds in moments.<ref name=":1" />

The city's narrow passages discourages enemy armies, with it been stated that a million soldiers could break upon A'ctelios Salash.<ref name=":0" /> While it does not have a Watch, it does still have designated peacekeepers, outfitted with bone armor and weapons.<ref name=":1" />

Trey, [[Gazi Pathseeker|Gazi]] and the [[Quarass]] visited A'ctelios Salash in order to heal Gazi's central eye. Afterwards, Trey realises one of the Pakheil was a former [[Earthers|Earther]], and a video recording showed that he and his group were tricked into consuming the flesh of the city, not given a choice. As the Carven City had betrayed its agreement, they fought their way out. Once outside, they saw that the city's eyes had moved and were looking at them.

A'ctelios Salash declared war on Reim over the alleged murder of their leader [[Baosar Yeothrix|Baosar]], shortly before Flos declared war on [[Belchan]].

The thousands of Seamwalkers summoned to [[Kasignel]] by [[Norechl]], and later the appearance of the [[Timewalker]], was making A'ctelios Salash active again, as it could sense its kin. [[Fetohep]] awakened the Scourgeriders of [[Emrist]] and rang the Dragonbell to alert everyone of the danger. The Scourgeriders escorted a vessel of poison from [[Germina]] carried by [[Djinni|Djinnis]] from Merreid. Once inside, they found that the layout had changed and the spot to deliver the poison could not be found. They thus had to deliver it to a heart or major artery. Every Scourgerider perished to the unknown horrors within the Carven City, but successfully rendered it dormant again. In the process they discovered a strange, horrifying room deep within that was never described in details, except that it was built ten thousand years ago, and they called it treachery and sought in vain to destroy it before being killed by A'ctelios' residents.<ref name=":0" />

He is incredibly world-weary, having lived for countless millennia, been everywhere, and done everything, only to see all his efforts inevitably come to dust. This has understandably caused him to become a recluse in the present-day, preferring to spend years sleeping in his sanctum rather than become entangled with the affairs of the world once again. While Teriarch often seems like a grumpy old man, his gruff countenance hides a kind heart, with a particular soft spot for headstrong young women. Highly-intelligent, Teriarch enjoys teaching others, though he has a tendency to ramble and go off-topic.

Teriarch is ancient beyond measure, confirmed to be the oldest being alive. All numbers assigned to his age are estimates. When Erin Solstice was summoned by the [[Blighted Kingdom|Blighted Kingdom's]] ritual, she was teleported directly into Teriarch's cave while the Dragon was sleeping in his cave. Startled awake, Teriarch breathes fire at her, causing the young woman to flee. He teleports himself and his possessions to his backup cave, and spent the next two days checking his spells and fortifying his new location. Realizing that [[Az’kerash|Az’kerash's]] 200th birthday is coming up, he makes arrangements for a Runner to come.<ref>{{VERef|1.01}}</ref> His request is sent to anonymously to the local runners guild, asking for a runner to meet with him for further details. [[Ryoka Griffin|Ryoka]] is the only runner who succeeds in making it to him, and he rewards her with a potion of haste, then uses magic to compel her to complete the delivery to Az'kerash. ==Powers and Abilities==
Teriarch is a magic user of superlative skill, with power and knowledge superior to some [Archmages]. He is speculated to be the single most skilled/powerful magic user currently living. Unlike the modern mages of [[Wistram Academy|Wistram]], Teriarch does not normally categorize spells into tiers, and even seems to find the idea to be ridiculous.<ref name=":2.46" /> The most powerful magic he has been seen to cast was equivalent to roughly Tier<ref>{{VERef|1.00}}</ref> 7-8<ref>{{VERef|9.41 (Pt. 1)}}</ref>.

One of Teriarch's commonly demonstrated abilities is a magical projection that he can control over a distance, which he frequently uses to interact with people and objects, sidestepping the limitations of his massive, conspicuous true body. However, the greater the distance between his real body and said projection is, the less powerful the spells he can cast with it. For instance, he was limited to Tier 2 spells when he was fighting at an area that is located somewhere between Celum and Liscor.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2017/11/04/3-30/ Chapter 3.30]</ref>

In Volume 8, he also used a simulacrum (essentially an artificial body controlled via telepathic link) to achieve a similar effect without the power drop-off, though at significantly higher risk to himself.

This has understandably caused him to become a recluse in the present-day, preferring to spend years sleeping in his sanctum rather than become entangled with the affairs of the world once again. While Teriarch often seems like a grumpy old man, his gruff countenance hides a kind heart, with a particular soft spot for headstrong young women. Highly-intelligent, Teriarch enjoys teaching others, though he has a tendency to ramble and go off-topic.

Teriarch is a magic user of superlative skill, with power and knowledge superior to some [Archmages]. He is speculated to be the single most skilled/powerful magic user currently living. Unlike the modern mages of [[Wistram Academy|Wistram]], Teriarch does not normally categorize spells into tiers, and even seems to find the idea to be ridiculous.<ref name=":2.46" /> The most powerful magic he has been seen to cast was equivalent to roughly Tier<ref>{{VERef|1.00}}</ref> 7-8<ref>{{VERef|9.41 (Pt. 1)}}</ref>.

One of Teriarch's commonly demonstrated abilities is a magical projection that he can control over a distance, which he frequently uses to interact with people and objects, sidestepping the limitations of his massive, conspicuous true body. However, the greater the distance between his real body and said projection is, the less powerful the spells he can cast with it. Teriarch is a magic user of superlative skill, with power and knowledge superior to some [Archmages]. He is speculated to be the single most skilled/powerful magic user currently living. One of Teriarch's commonly demonstrated abilities is a magical projection that he can control over a distance, which he frequently uses to interact with people and objects, sidestepping the limitations of his massive, conspicuous true body. == Appearance ==
Relc is at least six and a half feet tall. His scales are light green, and he has huge arms, reminiscent of a bodybuilder's, with sharp claws on each hand. Relc's eyes are narrow, resembling that of snakes, being very yellow, with black pupils.<ref name="1.07">[https://wanderinginn.com/2016/08/20/1-07/ Chapter 1.07 (Archived)]</ref>

He also sports a forked tongue that can be observed when he smiles. Relc pronounces his words with elongated ''s''<nowiki/>'s, and has a deeper voice than Klbkch. Clearing his throat sounds deeper and more bassy than normal humans do. When rubbing his hands together, his scales makes them sound like sandpaper.

==Personality==
Relc is often immature. He prefers personal gratification such as eating or finding nice rocks to laze about upon while he should be performing his duties, much to the exasperation of Watch Captain [[Zevara Sunderscale|Zevara]]. However, he is serious about performing his duties when the situation calls for it and is dependable in a fight. Relc is also fiercely loyal to his friends and willing to own up to his mistakes.

Relc can be inordinately proud of his physical prowess, and loves to fight. He is also extremely fond of food and [[Puzzles]].<ref name=":2" />

When asked about his classes, he identified himself first and foremost as a [Spearmaster].<ref name="1.07" />

Choleric when he is mistaken for, or called, a Lizardman.

After he bested and killed a [Spearmaster] in battle, he gained the class of [Spearmaster]. |Relc continued to be a regular patron at the inn as well as continuing his job as Senior Guardsman. His duties were ratcheting up as more adventurers came in to check out [[Liscor's Dungeon]] as well as Wall Lord [[Ilvriss Gemscale|Ilvriss]] occasionally causing trouble. The Wall Lord's lackey threatened Ryoka under the impersonation of a guard, and Relc was able to deal with this though nothing came of it given the Wall Lord's high position.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2018/03/31/4-24/ Chapter 4.24]</ref> One other complication of his job was the death of [[Brunkr]]. |Soon after, the [[Army of the Goblin Lord|Goblin Lord's Army]] came to attack Liscor and in the ensuing battle, the hero of drakes, Zel Shivertail, died. This caused tensions to rise throughout the city especially towards Erin who still harbored the remaining [[Redfang]] goblins she had taken in earlier. One drake decided to act on this frustration and attack Erin before Relc knocked him out, saving her. Relc then talked his way back into the inn. While the whole city was grieving, Relc was ready to move forward and he even acknowledged that Erin's goblins were different than those that supposedly killed General Shivertail. The two went back to the inn in better spirits and Relc got a free meal. Relc helped to bring the inn back to some semblance of normalcy as Erin introduced milkshakes to him and her few [[Halfseekers|other]] [[Ilvriss Gemscale|customers]].<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2018/07/10/5-00/ Chapter 5.00]</ref> That was why when [[Hawk]] opened up Pallass' side of Erin's magical door, he was one of the people that went through to explore the walled city. Pallass did not take kindly to the intruders, so all of them got in a fight and were luckily bailed out by Ilvriss' authority as a Wall Lord.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2018/07/14/5-01/ Chapter 5.01]</ref>

As the fiasco with Palass wound down, Liscor had to start preparing for its rainy season. Relc did this in part by inspecting the city's wall for any small damages or fractures.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2018/07/21/5-03/ Chapter 5.03]</ref> This inspection was well timed as soon after, a large group of [[Face-Eater Moths|Face Eater Moths]] [[Moth's Attack on Liscor|attacked Liscor and the inn]]. The city was slightly forewarned with [Dangersense], so Relc and many of the guards had enough time to make it onto the city's walls prior to the attack.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2018/07/28/5-07/ Chapter 5.07]</ref> Relc took on multiple of the giant Face Eater Moths during the attack and defended on the walls the entire time.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2018/07/31/5-08/ Chapter 5.08]</ref> Relc was not injured though, and he was able to go over to the Wandering Inn with Klbkch to discuss the aftermath of the attack.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2018/08/18/5-12/ Chapter 5.12]</ref> The next day, Relc left the inn to find that some members of [[Liscorian Army|Liscor's Army]] had come home including his daughter, [[Embria Grasstongue|Embria]]. Her and Relc immediately had a clash in personality as Embria was a staunchly traditional drake and Relc had been warming up to the more progressive mindset common in Erin's inn. He brought Embria to the inn as well which didn't help as Erin was selling cakes only with smiling goblins on them. Embria also gave Relc back his spear that he'd left at the army. Relc's history in the military was discussed then and Embria tried to convince him to come back, but Relc flatly refused and did not budge.<ref name="5.13" />

Relc continued his guard duties afterward. With the death of Zel Shivertail, Zel's armor was given to his niece, [[Selys Shivertail|Selys]]. Selys did not initially have the ability to guard it, so Relc was given the job. He also helped keep watch when Selys and [[Pisces Jealnet|Pisces]] moved Zel's ashes to be near Zel's lover [[Sserys]]' coffin as Zel had requested.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2018/09/04/5-18-s/ Chapter 5.18 S]</ref> Other watch duties - these ones more officially - that Relc conducted were conducting a survey of damages at Erin's inn after a large scale fight happened over the contents of a play that Erin had set up.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2018/10/13/5-28/ Chapter 5.28]</ref> Relc soon enough had to go back to his regular occupation of dealing with crisises. In this case, he had to deal with [[Raskghar]].<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2018/11/17/5-38/ Chapter 5.38]</ref>The raskghar were a continual threat for multiple days making Relc pull double shifts to keep watch. On one night, his daughter came to him with her concerns, letting her guard down for the first time. She told him about having to watch the antinium and how she didn't understand Erin. Just then, Erin came by and gathered up the two to participate in a planned attack on the raskghar to save the kidnapped gnolls. Erin got [[Pebblesnatch]] to hammer in an access point for the magical door in the raskghar's base where Relc and everyone else Erin could find was ready to charge through.<ref name=":1" /> The group successfully save the captured gnolls and defeated the raskghar.

Later on, the city heard news of the Goblin Lord's Army coming to the city. To limit unexpected variables, they moved to arrest the hobs working at Erin's inn. Erin wouldn't stand for it, so she tried to fight back, but she could not overpower Relc. He detained her while others got most of the goblins. Relc was then sent with others to keep watch at the inn and guard that important location. Unfortunately for him, some in the inn had other plans as [[Typhenous]] cast a high tier sleeping spell and put an extra dose in Relc's food that incapacitated almost everyone there in order to steal the door. In a dizzying series of twists, the door did not end up being stolen, though.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2019/01/22/5-54-2/ Chapter 5.54]</ref> Eventually, time ran out and the large goblin army came to Liscor. Relc was one of the key defenders during the battle. |Despite his previous hatred for goblins and many arguments about it with Erin, when Numbtongue came into the city of Liscor, Relc flat out refused to send him back through Erin's door. He recognized Numbtongue and his fellow goblins' massive contributions in saving the city, and repaid him in his own way.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2019/03/26/6-02/ Chapter 6.02]</ref> Relc continued to do what he saw as the right thing when he and Klbkch heard complaints about high rent. It was revealed that they had talked to overcharging landlords in the past and even unofficially arrested them when the problem became serious.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2019/04/16/6-08/ Chapter 6.08]</ref> These good deeds aside, Relc did still have to deal with the fact that he had been the one to kill Garen Redfang which did not sit well with the goblins in the inn. Tactfully, Relc stayed away for a while, and even when he did come back to the inn, he said he would leave if it was trouble for him to be there. Erin and the goblins were fine with his presence, though, so Relc stayed. Relc wasn't completely bereft of problems with their forgiveness. The argument he'd had with his daughter earlier was not an isolated incident, though the two still tried to meet every week. During one of these meetings Relc revealed his love of puzzles, and went around the city with Embria. As every meeting went through, it ended in an argument with Embria wanting him to go back to the army and Relc refusing. Relc didn't give up though, the two ended up finding out what they had in common - their spearmanship - and in doing so truly bonded. They talked out their feelings and eventually even promised to spar together again in the morning. Their relationship wasn't perfect, but with them opening up to each other and truly talking, they did develop a friendship.<ref name=":Interlude - Embria" />

Relc did go to the morning spar with Embria tiring him out and making Embria happy,<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2019/07/13/6-30/ Chapter 6.30]</ref> but in all his life wasn't much changed. The [[First Elections of Liscor|elections of Liscor]] were ongoing, and while Relc didn't want to get too involved, Erin did. She involved him and her acquaintances from Pallass in a bid to take attention away from Lism while also bringing attention to the wonders that herself aka humans could provide. Relc was involved with this primarily when Erin introduced the idea of a weight room and got him and [[Grimalkin Duveig|Grimalkin]] interested in trying it out.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2019/07/16/6-31/ Chapter 6.31]</ref><ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2019/07/20/6-32/ Chapter 6.32]</ref> Relc and Grimalkin formed a sort of friendship over these weights and eventually even Embria joined in. They were meeting at one point in the inn when a customer got too unruly, and Relc had to throw him about. This wasn't before the customer managed to deliver a whole drunken speech about the hatred that many had for goblins, though.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2019/08/03/interlude-numbtongue-pt-2/ Interlude – Numbtongue (Pt.2)]</ref> The level of vitriol wasn't aimed only at goblins, either. Not everything was bad, though. Erin got her [Partial Reconstruction] skill and enlisted Relc to help her test out how much could be broken with it to which he happily applied himself. He also helped test out Erin's newly designed EZ weight bar with Grimalkin.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2019/08/17/6-38/ Chapter 6.38]</ref> He was also present as a peacekeeper when the council was finally elected. The election itself almost ended with a riot, and later on when some of the [[Tismel Lischscale|new]] [[Zalaiss Holmfyre|councilmembers]] tried to storm the council with all of the former councilmembers they could find, Relc was present to deter them alone.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2019/10/15/6-49/ Chapter 6.49]</ref>

With one event dealt with, another arose. [[Wistram Academy|Wistram]] mages eventually made their way to Liscor with a mission of capturing Erin and any other [[Earthers]], but also to get rid of the exiles of Wistram, [[Ceria Springwalker|Ceria]] and Pisces. They successfully captured the exiles, but Erin wouldn't be taken so easily. The Wistram mages failed to convince Erin after [[Mrsha]] smelled Pisces' blood on them, and she cleared out the inn until only herself, the [[Halfseekers]], [[Numbtongue]], and Relc were left. The two sides came to blows when the mages wouldn't tell the others what they'd done with the Horns. Relc primarily focused on fighting Isceil, and managed to bring him down, but the others weren't as successful. Relc was the last one standing before Grimalkin made it to the fight and saved him from being surrounded. With the fight over, the aftermath left Erin with a completely destroyed inn. She got it started rebuilding, and went on vacation in Pallass. Klbkch and Relc were some of the first ones to visit when the inn was finally rebuilt. They personally brought up the magical door after Relc did a poor job of welcoming new residents into Liscor. What they found, though, was that Erin was going to stay on vacation for a while longer, leaving Lyonette in charge.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2020/01/19/7-00/ Chapter 7.00]</ref> Lyonette being busy with the inn and the other employees taking time off as well, left Relc as one of the only options left for a caretaker for Mrsha. It looked completely normal beside having a grooved tip and the haft looked thick and made of a dark brown-grey wood. == Appearance ==
Relc is at least six and a half feet tall. His scales are light green, and he has huge arms, reminiscent of a bodybuilder's, with sharp claws on each hand. Relc's eyes are narrow, resembling that of snakes, being very yellow, with black pupils.<ref name="1.07">[https://wanderinginn.com/2016/08/20/1-07/ Chapter 1.07 (Archived)]</ref>

He also sports a forked tongue that can be observed when he smiles. Relc pronounces his words with elongated ''s''<nowiki/>'s, and has a deeper voice than Klbkch. Clearing his throat sounds deeper and more bassy than normal humans do. When rubbing his hands together, his scales makes them sound like sandpaper.

==Personality==
Relc is often immature. He prefers personal gratification such as eating or finding nice rocks to laze about upon while he should be performing his duties, much to the exasperation of Watch Captain [[Zevara Sunderscale|Zevara]]. However, he is serious about performing his duties when the situation calls for it and is dependable in a fight. Relc is also fiercely loyal to his friends and willing to own up to his mistakes.

Relc can be inordinately proud of his physical prowess, and loves to fight. He is also extremely fond of food and [[Puzzles]].<ref name=":2" />

When asked about his classes, he identified himself first and foremost as a [Spearmaster].<ref name="1.07" />

Choleric when he is mistaken for, or called, a Lizardman.

After he bested and killed a [Spearmaster] in battle, he gained the class of [Spearmaster]. He was then given an [[Relc Grasstongue#Equipment|enchanted spear]], which he had to leave behind when he left the army.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2018/02/13/4-12/ Chapter 4.12]</ref> That spear and his spearfighting skill in combination with his sprinting speed made Relc ideal as a specialist in going after enemy commanders and mages in battle. In an attempt to prove his good deeds and get presents from Santa, he dressed up as his own version where he gave ill-suited presents to people around Liscor. He and Klbkch ended up getting kicked out of most of the houses they visited doing this, but they did find a few thieves that they were able to apprehend. |Relc continued to be a regular patron at the inn as well as continuing his job as Senior Guardsman. His duties were ratcheting up as more adventurers came in to check out [[Liscor's Dungeon]] as well as Wall Lord [[Ilvriss Gemscale|Ilvriss]] occasionally causing trouble. The Wall Lord's lackey threatened Ryoka under the impersonation of a guard, and Relc was able to deal with this though nothing came of it given the Wall Lord's high position.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2018/03/31/4-24/ Chapter 4.24]</ref> One other complication of his job was the death of [[Brunkr]]. Relc met Ryoka again (this time remembering her from their race when they first met) and told her about how he was investigating the suspicious circumstances around the gnoll's death.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2018/04/17/4-29/ Chapter 4.29]</ref> Erin found out the truth and the entire inn fought against the true killers, [[Venitra]] and [[Ijvani]]. |Soon after, the [[Army of the Goblin Lord|Goblin Lord's Army]] came to attack Liscor and in the ensuing battle, the hero of drakes, Zel Shivertail, died. This caused tensions to rise throughout the city especially towards Erin who still harbored the remaining [[Redfang]] goblins she had taken in earlier. One drake decided to act on this frustration and attack Erin before Relc knocked him out, saving her. Relc then talked his way back into the inn. While the whole city was grieving, Relc was ready to move forward and he even acknowledged that Erin's goblins were different than those that supposedly killed General Shivertail. The two went back to the inn in better spirits and Relc got a free meal. Relc helped to bring the inn back to some semblance of normalcy as Erin introduced milkshakes to him and her few [[Halfseekers|other]] [[Ilvriss Gemscale|customers]].<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2018/07/10/5-00/ Chapter 5.00]</ref> That was why when [[Hawk]] opened up Pallass' side of Erin's magical door, he was one of the people that went through to explore the walled city. Pallass did not take kindly to the intruders, so all of them got in a fight and were luckily bailed out by Ilvriss' authority as a Wall Lord.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2018/07/14/5-01/ Chapter 5.01]</ref>

As the fiasco with Palass wound down, Liscor had to start preparing for its rainy season. Relc did this in part by inspecting the city's wall for any small damages or fractures.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2018/07/21/5-03/ Chapter 5.03]</ref> This inspection was well timed as soon after, a large group of [[Face-Eater Moths|Face Eater Moths]] [[Moth's Attack on Liscor|attacked Liscor and the inn]]. The city was slightly forewarned with [Dangersense], so Relc and many of the guards had enough time to make it onto the city's walls prior to the attack.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2018/07/28/5-07/ Chapter 5.07]</ref> Relc took on multiple of the giant Face Eater Moths during the attack and defended on the walls the entire time.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2018/07/31/5-08/ Chapter 5.08]</ref> Relc was not injured though, and he was able to go over to the Wandering Inn with Klbkch to discuss the aftermath of the attack.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2018/08/18/5-12/ Chapter 5.12]</ref> The next day, Relc left the inn to find that some members of [[Liscorian Army|Liscor's Army]] had come home including his daughter, [[Embria Grasstongue|Embria]]. Her and Relc immediately had a clash in personality as Embria was a staunchly traditional drake and Relc had been warming up to the more progressive mindset common in Erin's inn. He brought Embria to the inn as well which didn't help as Erin was selling cakes only with smiling goblins on them. Embria also gave Relc back his spear that he'd left at the army. Relc's history in the military was discussed then and Embria tried to convince him to come back, but Relc flatly refused and did not budge.<ref name="5.13" />

Relc continued his guard duties afterward. With the death of Zel Shivertail, Zel's armor was given to his niece, [[Selys Shivertail|Selys]]. Selys did not initially have the ability to guard it, so Relc was given the job. He also helped keep watch when Selys and [[Pisces Jealnet|Pisces]] moved Zel's ashes to be near Zel's lover [[Sserys]]' coffin as Zel had requested.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2018/09/04/5-18-s/ Chapter 5.18 S]</ref> Other watch duties - these ones more officially - that Relc conducted were conducting a survey of damages at Erin's inn after a large scale fight happened over the contents of a play that Erin had set up.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2018/10/13/5-28/ Chapter 5.28]</ref> Relc soon enough had to go back to his regular occupation of dealing with crisises. In this case, he had to deal with [[Raskghar]].<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2018/11/17/5-38/ Chapter 5.38]</ref>The raskghar were a continual threat for multiple days making Relc pull double shifts to keep watch. On one night, his daughter came to him with her concerns, letting her guard down for the first time. She told him about having to watch the antinium and how she didn't understand Erin. Just then, Erin came by and gathered up the two to participate in a planned attack on the raskghar to save the kidnapped gnolls. Erin got [[Pebblesnatch]] to hammer in an access point for the magical door in the raskghar's base where Relc and everyone else Erin could find was ready to charge through.<ref name=":1" /> The group successfully save the captured gnolls and defeated the raskghar.

Later on, the city heard news of the Goblin Lord's Army coming to the city. To limit unexpected variables, they moved to arrest the hobs working at Erin's inn. Erin wouldn't stand for it, so she tried to fight back, but she could not overpower Relc. He detained her while others got most of the goblins. Relc was then sent with others to keep watch at the inn and guard that important location. Unfortunately for him, some in the inn had other plans as [[Typhenous]] cast a high tier sleeping spell and put an extra dose in Relc's food that incapacitated almost everyone there in order to steal the door. In a dizzying series of twists, the door did not end up being stolen, though.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2019/01/22/5-54-2/ Chapter 5.54]</ref> Eventually, time ran out and the large goblin army came to Liscor. Relc was one of the key defenders during the battle. |Despite his previous hatred for goblins and many arguments about it with Erin, when Numbtongue came into the city of Liscor, Relc flat out refused to send him back through Erin's door. He recognized Numbtongue and his fellow goblins' massive contributions in saving the city, and repaid him in his own way.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2019/03/26/6-02/ Chapter 6.02]</ref> Relc continued to do what he saw as the right thing when he and Klbkch heard complaints about high rent. It was revealed that they had talked to overcharging landlords in the past and even unofficially arrested them when the problem became serious.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2019/04/16/6-08/ Chapter 6.08]</ref> These good deeds aside, Relc did still have to deal with the fact that he had been the one to kill Garen Redfang which did not sit well with the goblins in the inn. Tactfully, Relc stayed away for a while, and even when he did come back to the inn, he said he would leave if it was trouble for him to be there. Erin and the goblins were fine with his presence, though, so Relc stayed. Relc wasn't completely bereft of problems with their forgiveness. The argument he'd had with his daughter earlier was not an isolated incident, though the two still tried to meet every week. During one of these meetings Relc revealed his love of puzzles, and went around the city with Embria. As every meeting went through, it ended in an argument with Embria wanting him to go back to the army and Relc refusing. Relc didn't give up though, the two ended up finding out what they had in common - their spearmanship - and in doing so truly bonded. They talked out their feelings and eventually even promised to spar together again in the morning. Their relationship wasn't perfect, but with them opening up to each other and truly talking, they did develop a friendship.<ref name=":Interlude - Embria" />

Relc did go to the morning spar with Embria tiring him out and making Embria happy,<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2019/07/13/6-30/ Chapter 6.30]</ref> but in all his life wasn't much changed. The [[First Elections of Liscor|elections of Liscor]] were ongoing, and while Relc didn't want to get too involved, Erin did. She involved him and her acquaintances from Pallass in a bid to take attention away from Lism while also bringing attention to the wonders that herself aka humans could provide. Relc was involved with this primarily when Erin introduced the idea of a weight room and got him and [[Grimalkin Duveig|Grimalkin]] interested in trying it out.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2019/07/16/6-31/ Chapter 6.31]</ref><ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2019/07/20/6-32/ Chapter 6.32]</ref> Relc and Grimalkin formed a sort of friendship over these weights and eventually even Embria joined in. They were meeting at one point in the inn when a customer got too unruly, and Relc had to throw him about. Not everything was bad, though. Erin got her [Partial Reconstruction] skill and enlisted Relc to help her test out how much could be broken with it to which he happily applied himself. He also helped test out Erin's newly designed EZ weight bar with Grimalkin.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2019/08/17/6-38/ Chapter 6.38]</ref> He was also present as a peacekeeper when the council was finally elected. The election itself almost ended with a riot, and later on when some of the [[Tismel Lischscale|new]] [[Zalaiss Holmfyre|councilmembers]] tried to storm the council with all of the former councilmembers they could find, Relc was present to deter them alone.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2019/10/15/6-49/ Chapter 6.49]</ref>

With one event dealt with, another arose. [[Wistram Academy|Wistram]] mages eventually made their way to Liscor with a mission of capturing Erin and any other [[Earthers]], but also to get rid of the exiles of Wistram, [[Ceria Springwalker|Ceria]] and Pisces. They successfully captured the exiles, but Erin wouldn't be taken so easily. The Wistram mages failed to convince Erin after [[Mrsha]] smelled Pisces' blood on them, and she cleared out the inn until only herself, the [[Halfseekers]], [[Numbtongue]], and Relc were left. The two sides came to blows when the mages wouldn't tell the others what they'd done with the Horns. Relc primarily focused on fighting Isceil, and managed to bring him down, but the others weren't as successful. Relc was the last one standing before Grimalkin made it to the fight and saved him from being surrounded. [[Jelaqua Ivirith|Jelaqua]] made it to the fight as well and the three of them were able to turn the tides. They won the fight, and once Zevara arrived on the scene were able to calm things down enough to find the captured Horns.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2019/11/19/6-58/ Chapter 6.58]</ref> High Command of Liscor was bribed into letting the Wistram mages go, and Relc was set to making sure nobody else caused any real fights.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2019/11/23/6-59/ Chapter 6.59]</ref> Days afterward, Relc was present when Erin's dangersense started ringing horribly. [[Crelers]] were unearthed in the [[Bloodfields]], and Erin opened the magical door to them saving some of the adventurers that were trapped on the other side, but releasing the horde of crelers in the process. Relc saved Erin from the chaos, but he was hurt in the process from the swarm. Embria and her 4th company came to his rescue and called for a healer, but he was poisoned and out of the fight.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2019/12/22/6-65/ Chapter 6.65]</ref> Relc did recover enough later to help with the cleanup. With the fight over, the aftermath left Erin with a completely destroyed inn. She got it started rebuilding, and went on vacation in Pallass. Klbkch and Relc were some of the first ones to visit when the inn was finally rebuilt. They personally brought up the magical door after Relc did a poor job of welcoming new residents into Liscor. What they found, though, was that Erin was going to stay on vacation for a while longer, leaving Lyonette in charge.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2020/01/19/7-00/ Chapter 7.00]</ref> Lyonette being busy with the inn and the other employees taking time off as well, left Relc as one of the only options left for a caretaker for Mrsha. During one of these babysitting sessions, the two watched plays, but Relc also had fun with her in his own way by pitting her against a baby [[Rock Crabs|Rock Crab]] in a fight.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2020/01/30/mini-stories-crabs-and-drinks/ Mini Stories – Crabs and Drinks]</ref> It wasn't long after this that Erin's vacation was interupted by a large host of [[wyverns]] attacking Pallass.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2020/01/26/7-02/ Chapter 7.02]</ref> Relc and [[Olesm Swifttail|Olesm]] went to reinforce Pallass from Liscor. This event like many recently was being televised by scrying orb, and Relc was one of the key figures seen around the world, particularly when he went to attack the [[Frost Wyvern Lord]] alone. He wasn't enough however, and so he received help from some of Pallass' elite including Grimalkin, General [[Duln]], [[Saliss Oliwing|Saliss]], as well as surprise help from Bird who had snuck through to fight the big birds.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2020/01/29/7-03/ Chapter 7.03]</ref> The group got literally thrown back into Liscor after Bird nearly started the Third Antinium War, and the inn was in chaos once more. Zevara wanted Relc to report his side, but others wanted information from those there as well, including Erin who had been thrown back into Liscor with the rest. Klbkch was the least happy about the proceedings, and he beat Bird repeatedly in front of everyone even with Relc trying to stop him. It wasn't until Erin got in his way that Klbkch left.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2020/02/01/7-04/ Chapter 7.04]</ref>

Only later did spirits rise once again since despite the near war, Relc and the others were ''heroes'' of the Wyvern fight in Pallass, and Erin was coming back at the same time. There was a party in the inn to celebrate with plenty of jokes, and Liscor in general gained some more appreciation of the silly [Senior Guardsman].<ref name=":3" />

It looked completely normal beside having a grooved tip and the haft looked thick and made of a dark brown-grey wood. With it, Relc can take on any Gold-rank adventurer, as it is enchanted to pierce magic barriers like ''soft cheese'' and is durable enough to at least hold his own weight without even bending an inch.<ref name="5.13">[https://wanderinginn.com/2018/08/21/5-13/ Chapter 5.13]</ref>
