Innworld, is the official name of the World where The Wandering Inn takes place in. Innworld is known to other worlds because of the God War and has been called the "hegemony of gods" by another world's god. This page is intended to cover all of the general information about the world and how it is different from Earth.
World-wide Leveling System
All over Innworld, most sentient beings are able to level in what are called Classes, and thus gain Skills (see here for further details). That includes many listed people of the Races page and excludes all listed entries of the Monsters page (with the exception of leveling Undead, of which the only known instances are Toren and the Chosen). This leveling system announces the accomplishments inside the mind of the leveled-up person in a universal language.

Physical Properties
Innworld is claimed by inhabitants to not be a round planet - explorers have instead discovered what they call the Edge of the World. Also, the world has twin moons that wax and wane independently from each other, and also a single sun and either no actual equator or a weird one.

Innworld has, like a spherical planet, different time zones. When it is nighttime in Izril, it is morning in Baleros and around noon in Chandrar. The spherical nature of the world was however alluded to several times by the omniscient narrator; and many Izrilians (like Hawk, Relc, Noass and Cirille) believe in a round world, likewise the Blighted King in Rhir and Nawal and the Quarass in Chandrar.

The world has been guesstimated by Ryoka and later other Earthers to have around 3 times the surface area of Earth. The enormous size of the continents clearly supports this theory: Izril, the only continent for which there are very rough measurements available, was estimated by Ryoka to span 8000 miles from North to South, which combined with its width suggests a size comparable to Eurasia. Yet, it is just the third-largest of the continents.

Erin noticed right after her transportation to the world how the sky itself was visibly different from Earth: The vivid blue infinity above her head [...] was different from the one she had seen all her life. This suggests at least a thicker atmosphere, or some other reason why there is more air between the sun and the ground. Another difference is that - at least in Liscor's late autumn - the sun set closer to the south than the west in this world.

It seems to be common knowledge among people on the world that it is flat, which includes the academically interested at Wistram Academy. Wistram's Earthers have introduced the concept of a round world to its [Mages], but the theory didn't receive wide approval, despite measurements taken by mages all around the world that indicated to the Earthers that their assumption of a round planet is correct. It is later confirmed that the world is round, though part of it was torn away.

The length of the year seems different, with each season lasting four months.

There are eight days in each week.
Continents, Racial Geography and Major Powers
The Innworld has 5 continents, by the names of Terandria, Izril, Chandrar, Rhir, and Baleros. There is also a massive archipelago filled with whirlpools and deadly storms that is all that remains of the sixth continent, but that place has not been detailed further yet. There were originally seven continents, of which Drath is a remnant, and an apparently artificial "sixth continent" called Tiernas or the "Continent of Glass" existed at some point which may have been one of those two or created and destroyed after them.

This section lists the major races that live on each continent, and the major powers in world politics.

Terandria
*Humans
*Half-Elves
*Dwarves

Humans are the vastly dominant race of Terandria, ever since they toppled the Half-Elves from their position of power several millennia ago. In many places, non-Human races are discriminated against, not only the Half-Elves. There is a plethora of large and small kingdoms and other realms there, and Knight Orders wield great powers throughout the continent. The ancient human kingdoms of Terandria maintain a solid infrastructure, but there is still large untamed wilderness in many places.

Izril
*Drakes (Walled Cities)
*Humans
*Gnolls
*Antinium

The native races, the Drakes and Gnolls mostly reside in the southern half of Izril. Drake politics are dominated by the six Walled Cities, while the Gnolls live a nomadic life in the plains or live in the cities.

The north is largely dominated by Humans, the result of a large-scale Human invasion which occurred a few millennia ago. The Five Families have historically been the major power, although they have waned in the last centuries, with currently only two scions of these families being politically prominent: Magnolia Reinhart and Tyrion Veltras.

The Antinium, being recent invaders from Rhir, are not recognized diplomatically anywhere but in Liscor. Two other powerful figures who are currently choosing to stay hidden from the open stage are Teriarch and Az’kerash.

A long time ago, Harpies ruled in the area that was later turned into the High Passes.

Chandrar
*Humans
* String People
*Garuda
*Beastkin
*Djinni
*Half-Giants

The most important organization on Chandrar are the Slavers of Roshal, a millennia-old and powerful economoical instituion. In the past, Chandrar had many Shield Kingdoms of which only four still remain. The currently largest and most powerful realm that was introduced in the story is the Empire of Sands, followed by the realm of Nerrhavia Fallen. Both of these realms are ruled/led by String People. The Siren of Savere rules a naval nation that plays in the big leagues with regards to piracy. Flos Reimarch is the previous ruler of the vast continent and currently trying to reclaim his glory.

Djinni lived on Chandrar, but are all enslaved save for those that reside on Rhir. Their half-mortal kin the Jinn are extinct.

Rhir
*Humans
* Demons
**Winged Demons
** Giant Demons
* Antinium
*Crelers

The Blighted King rules over the human side of Rhir, supplied allies of almost all nations. The demons are a race that is opposing them in constant warfare, without public support from other known nations or groups, although some races clandestinely trade with them. This warring state of affairs has been stable for over 5000 years.

It is unknown if further lands are not claimed by either side (former Antinium areas and the residence of the alleged entity called the 'sleeping god'). The Antinium first appeared on Rhir and recently fled the continent, making it unclear if some still remain. The monstrous Crelers also first appeared on Rhir, and are battled against and feared by all other lifeforms of the world.

Baleros
*Lizardfolk (Jungle Tails)
*Dullahans (Iron Vanguard)
*Centaurs (Maelstrom’s Howling)
* Humans
*Gazers (Eyes of Baleros)
* Half-Gazers
*Beastkin
*Fraerlings
*Selphids

Of the Four Great Companies of Baleros, three are listed above, since in each one, a specific race is dominant. However, other races are still hired in the companies; with the possible exception of the Eyes, about whom much is unknown. The Forgotten Wing Company is the newest and most multi-racial of the Big Four, having toppled a great company dominated by Lizardfolk a few decades ago. Hundreds if not thousands of other companies exist and rule over the rest of Baleros.

This state of affairs has been stable since memory serves, although the number of Great Companies has varied over time.

Wistram
Wistram Academy has fierce internal politics consists of many factions, the most powerful of which are led by the Archmages. Despite its (self-proclaimed) neutral stance of world affairs, Wistram is nonetheless considered a world power and often interferes in certain events.

Minos
The Minotaurs prefer to live without foreign influence, which is why their islands are famous for having not many outsiders to the Minotaur race living there. They are one of the foremost naval powers, especially in their region of the sea.

Drath
The Drath Archipelago is the remains of the sixth and/or seventh continents of the world, which was destroyed in the final blow of the God War long ago. The primary political power is the Empire of Drath, which is largely isolationist.

Non-Continental or Unknown
*Dragons (In hiding, near-extinct)
*Drowned People (Live near or in the sea)
*Elves (Extinct)
*Gnomes (Extinct)
*Goblins (All continents)
* Trolls (all continents)
*Vampires (In hiding, endangered)
*Undead

Language
Spoken Language
The dominant spoken language in the world is English, which can be understood by all people that the story introduced so far (with the exception of Earthers who don't speak English). There are however other languages such as the one used by the Drathians. Goblins also claim their own language, which includes a significant incorporation of body language, and is especially notable for its large lexicon of words for different kinds of death.

Written Language
Unlike in Celum in which the citizens not only speak English but also use the same writing system, which possibly goes for most other human cities, in Liscor the people only speak in English while another completely different written language has been implemented.

It seems that older written texts need translation, which involves for examples books older than some thousand years; and glyphs found in ancient crypts. This translation is usually done through magic.

There are no reports of any basic education system in the whole world. Yet, most people in the story seem to be able to read without issues (for example, even eremitic [Farmers] are used to exchange messages; guild jobs are posted on announcement boards; etc.). The only known persons who professed not being able to read at some point, were Garia Strongheart and Durene.

Land of the Dead
The land of the dead, also known as Kasignel, is where the ghosts of people reside after their deaths. It is more or less a reflection of the real world, though it echoes multiple periods of times in history. The laws of physics do not apply, while Skills and magic are nonexistent.

Trivia
* Krngnoll, which means The Great Land in Gnollish, is the Gnoll name for the world.
*As the official name of the World is currently unknown, the readers have come to designate it as Innworld. Even Pirateaba has come to use this term as well.
**Ryoka would officially call it Innworld for simplicity’s sake.
Liscor is located 88 miles south of Celum, over 30 miles south of Esthelm, 116 miles away from Remendia and 118 miles away from Ocre. Furthermore, Liscor is located 435 miles south of Invrisil. It is about 380 miles north of Pallass.

The city sits on the Floodplains that divide Southern Izril from the human-colonized northern half of the continent. It has a lot of natural defenses; the only way to reach it is from the north and the south. The mountains make it impassable, and the southern border is guarded by the highly dangerous Blood Fields. Furthermore, it is always flooded for the first two months of Spring every year, due to its natural geography and nonstop rainfall. During this flooded period, powerful monsters populate the flooded waters.

Natural dangers
About a quarter of all traveler's deaths around Liscor are due to goblins. It was also said that rain, undead and war are the worst dangers to Liscor. Both of these statements were made before the Dungeon beneath Liscor was discovered.

Demographics
Liscor had about 80,000 civilian inhabitants at the end of book 1, not counting the 4,000 members of the watch and the 2,000 members of the Liscorian Army fighting abroad. Whether adventurers were already included into either civilian or military numbers, is unknown. However, the city was unprepared to fit even more inhabitants inside its boundaries - and the population has dramatically increased after the dungeons around the city were discovered.

The Antinium in their hive below the city (according to estimates by Olesm and Zevara) number 9,000 soldiers and 24,000 workers. In case of a war, they are contractually obliged to mobilize in the defense of the city.

History
A millennium ago, there was already a city near the place where today's Liscor stands. That city fell to corruption from within. They built terrible weapons, loosed monsters in their walls, and the city turned into a dungeon deep underground, only to be forgotten afterwards.

:Note: So far, nothing more has been revealed about the pre-history of Liscor before the latest decades. Since the humans invaded Izril more than 3000 years ago and slowly expanded their influence southwards, the city-turned-dungeon might have been the way of the Drakes to close the single remaining bottleneck that allowed easy entrance to the South. This likely means that "modern" Liscor was founded just a few centuries ago, long after the Human invasion of Izril and also after the ruin of the old city described above. Nobody in the city could tell much about the even more ancient dungeons/ruins below Liscor.

1st Antinium War
The First Antinium War is dated about 24 years before Erin's arrival near Liscor.

The Liscorian Army was commanded by General Sserys and was regarded one of the strongest forces on the continent. They were available for hire as a mercenary force and thus away from Liscor fighting in the defense of the Walled Cities when the Antinium made a push towards the northern part of the continent.

Liscor was sieged by the Antinium who couldn't scale its walls. Sserys arrived from the south to relieve the siege but was stopped short before the city. A coalition army of Humans under Magnolia Reinhart could drive off the Antinium however. The rest of the war didn't touch the city of Liscor much afterwards, although the Army fought for longer time; and Sserys died at the end of the war.

2nd Antinium War
Ten years ago, the city was almost destroyed when The Necromancer unleashed his armies of the undead on the continent. With the help of the [General] Zel Shivertail, the inhabitants of Liscor were able to hold off the undead by themselves for months. (See: Necromancer's Siege of Liscor)

After the Antinium War, the city entered the contract with the Free Antinium Hive, who offered military assistance for the permission of staying in the city, which greatly increased the strength of Liscor. Moreover, they are to provide services and goods to the city.

Volume 1
In the autumn when Erin arrived near Liscor and started her business at the first Wandering Inn, a drake shepherd had discovered ancient ruins ten miles to the southwest of the city. This attracted many adventurers towards the city. Many adventurers and merchants arrived from the predominantly-human north half of the continent, among them five silver-rank teams chose to explore these ruins. (see: Ruins of Liscor)

As the expedition of these five teams failed, they triggered Skinner's Attack on Liscor. The undead guardian of the ruins invaded the city and killed many inhabitants, but was driven off towards the Wandering Inn, where Skinner was slain. Afterwards, the ruins were checked and found mostly empty. However, another entrance to a seemingly separate dungeon was discovered, but treated with much more caution than the ruins. Even more entrances were found in the months afterwards. (see: Dungeon of Liscor)

Volumes 2 to 4
Following these events, the noble thief, Lyonette, who had been present in the city ever since the human's arrival, caused her second fire in Liscor's marketplace. She was caught and banned from the city, but found shelter in the Wandering Inn, which had been rebuilt closer to the city after an explosion. In that same winter, Erin installed a Magical Door in her inn, first only leading to Celum. Also, a [Necromancer] Goblin Lord bypassed Liscor on his way into the human filled north of the continent.

Volume 5
At the onset of spring, adventurers in Liscor's dungeon triggered the Moth's Attack on Liscor, which nearly led to the destruction of the city, but was fended off with help from gold-rank adventuring teams, Antinium, Celum's city watch, and adventurers arriving from Pallass. This event was broadcasted by magical spells and orbs all over Innworld and made Liscor's dungeon famous as an adventuring destination. It was declared a gold-rank dungeon.

Some time later, Raskghar inhabitants of the dungeon started another attack on Liscor and abducted Gnoll citizens to gain strength from a blood ritual. Their plan was prevented, and their leader was imprisoned.

The Goblin Lord Reiss was then returning into the south, hounded by the human forces of Lord Tyrion Veltras who intended to lay claim to Liscor using the pretense of a goblin invasion to claim the city without killing a single drake. This plan almost succeeded even when the forces of Liscor's goblins and their allies were able to kill most of Reiss' host. Only the intervention of Magnolia Reinhart saved the city from destruction, as she extorted Veltras' retreat with threats on the life of his children. (see: Goblin-Human Siege of Liscor)

Volume 6
In early summer, the housing situation of Liscor had deteriorated so far that the population demanded to elect a new council who would sort out the problems by expanding the city walls. This led to a fierce campaign between the parties of Lism and Krshia, who offered different solutions on how to manage this. (see: First Elections of Liscor)

Volume 7 to 8
No longer as isolated from other Drake settlements thanks to the road bypassing the Bloodfields, Liscor established contact with the city of Hectval. However, those talks broke down due how Hectval treats Gnolls. In retaliation for the insult, Hectval sent a group to attack Liscor which resulted in the death of Erin Solstice. This prompted Liscor to declare war on Hectval and raise a new army to wage it. Liscor was ultimately victorious. (see: Liscor-Hectval War)
The stone-and-wood architecture of Liscor has lots of gently sloping roofs and open rooftops, the streets are either made of dirt or paved with cobblestones

Park & Playground:
In the midst of the city there is a park with a playground occupying a part of it. The playground is like a jungle gym; long tunnels of smooth, polished wood connect towers that spiral upwards like a miniature castle. Monkey bars are set twenty feet in the air, above a floor that you have to climb up a long rope just to get to and a slide that curves downwards over thirty feet. The towering construction of wood and stone goes up four stories high. It has separate rooms with glass windows for children to occupy and play in walls with grips and even a huge rope bridge which sways and wobbles.

There are magical spells on the playing area, cast by a Wistram mage and checked upon each year. One of the spells freezes the air around the falling and slows them down to a crawl, until they softly land on the ground.
Laws
* The Celli’delr Maurons law: Grants a modest sum and rent-free housing for certain periods to anyone moving to Liscor to work. The sum increases based on levels and for families. Anyone over Level 30 receives a large stipend and free housing.

Military
Liscor's walls are about 40 feet high and so fortified that they allowed the Drakes to repel the Antinium host in the First Antinium War for months and later the hosts of the Necromancer. (Note: Apparently, the Antinium didn't have siege weaponry, while Az'kerash tried to use gigantic Bone Constructs to scale/approach the walls but failed.) The siege weapons of Laken Godart were able to damage them, however.

Liscor's City Watch can take care of any monsters that appear, as they are known to have highly skilled and strong members who could be considered Silver-rank or even Gold-rank adventurers, like Relc. The City Watch consists of 4000 members, but has been reduced by recent attacks on the city.

There are several mages in the city but none are particularly strong. Magic isn't much practiced in the area in the first place, making it likely that generally few mages come from Liscor compared to other places.

If it is being attacked by a foreign army, Liscor can recall its own army, the Liscorian Army, who act as mercenaries for other nations, for appropriate payment. They can field two thousand Drakes and a few hundred Gnolls at any given moment. Unless the walls could be breached in a week or less, the army would come running right back and smash them. They are currently located east, fighting near a Walled City.

Lastly, in time of war or during a crisis, the Antinium will defend the city and help out with construction and other jobs.

Recently, the city has raised a Volunteer Army, which notably includes Antinium battalions and is thus the only army in the world that contains faith-based classes like [Crusaders].
Trivia
*[Mages] possessing even a single level in the [Necromancer] class are usually killed on sight in Liscor.
*In the public bathhouse in Liscor, Drakes and Humans have to pay only 5 coppers for entry, while Gnolls and Beastkin have to pay twice as much because of their fur.
*Liscor's written language is not English, unlike Celum.
*The Gnolls in Liscor are forbidden from howling, unless there is a full moon.
*Over a quarter of the deaths of travelers on the roads around Liscor are due to Goblin attacks.
*During the Antinium Wars, the Antinium never managed to reach Liscor.
*It is said that the three most dangerous things to Liscor are rain, the undead, and war.
*During Skinner's attack on Liscor with over 40,000 (in the first draft: 400) undead, over 80 [Guardsmen] and nearly 200 civilians perished before the Hive was mobilized.
*The Antinium lost 65 Workers and 47 Soldiers, during Skinner's assault on Liscor.
*The fee for selling something on Liscor's streets is 5 silver coins for a profit of over 4 gold coins.
*Liscor has - as of volume 2 - two people capable of a [Courier’s] speed — Hawk and the Gecko.
*Liscor is considerably bigger than Celum and Esthelm.
*Crime in Liscor isn’t very profitable, as no criminal wants to arouse the wrath of the Antinium. Something about an Antinium Soldier smashing through a wooden door as ten more burrow out of the ground tends to discourage many thieves and muggers.
*Watch Captains, such as Zevara, hold a higher position of authority than in Human cities. Among Drakes, the Watch Captain generally shares the same rank as members of a ruling Council and is usually given complete authority in local military matters.
*The city council devoted funds to the park and playground as a matter of public benefit, so that the residents can relax and enjoy themselves when confined to the city during the spring months.
*In the early chapters the distance between Celum and Liscor was around/over 100 miles, however in the newer Timeline the distance is 88 miles, leaving the true distance between both cities uncertain.
*Corusdeer meat is Liscor's local specialty.
*The relationship between Liscor and its army has always been strained.
*Due to Erin being connected to multiple crazy events, it has almost become a sport of its own, or tradition in Liscor, for Liscorian citizens to share stories and rumors about her to any outsider who wants to know about her.
*Liscor's walls had been expanded two times before the council's election and subsequent city expansion
Selys Shivertail is a female Drake who works as a [Receptionist] in Liscor's Adventurer Guild.

Appearance
Selys is a short Drake, with light green scales. She prefers to wear colorful clothes.

Personality
Selys is friendly and very socially active, having lots of friends and acquaintances, including several ex-boyfriends. Among her childhood friends are Messyl, Drassi, Wuvisa, Maviss, Mica, Warsh, and Lellia. Years of handling adventurers as a [Receptionist] has enabled her to be able to stand up for herself, even against figures of authority. Originally, she was embarrassed about her newfound wealth, and didn't know what to do with it; however she has since gotten used to it, though is still uncomfortable talking about it.

Selys was one of the first people to befriend Erin when she came to Liscor, and is largely considered to be one of her more "normal" friends.

Background
Her grandmother is the Guildmistress of Liscor's Adventurer’s Guild, Tekshia. Another grandparent was Isshia, who is likely dead.

Selys was, as of Volume 2, one of the most senior [Receptionists] of the guild, and usually busy with lots of paperwork that she dutifully tackled while dealing with the regular insanity of the adventurers around her. After becoming an [Heiress], she has largely cut back on her hours, as she has become wealthy on the income from renting out the Heartflame Breastplate.

Chronology
Volume 1
Selys became friends with Erin Solstice because she was the first Drake to give Erin a handshake instead of a hard time. Although the pleasance of their first meeting was cut short by Terbore, she later helped to stitch pads out of bandages for Erin. She also was kind to Erin when Klbkch had been killed and was there for Erin's first [Immortal Moment]. They began going shopping together and travel to visit the Ruins of Liscor and at some point Erin would consider her the relatable Drake receptionist to whom to go with problems or when she needed to learn more about the world she had arrived in. She warned Erin not to go exploring the Floodplains alone, and was glad when Erin returned from her first trip okay.

She first met Pisces on a trip to visit the inn and was not pleased that he had created Toren for Erin, which fueled their first severe argument with each other. Despite that argument and her contempt for his profession, she and Zevara told Pisces to stay and fight during Skinner's Attack on Liscor.

Volume 2
At the start of the winter season, she introduced Erin to Peslas. On the same day, Toren exploded the old Inn, and Selys helped in salvaging the ruins in order to build a new inn closer to Liscor. The next day she helped Erin sell hamburgers in Liscor and introduced Hawk to her. She went with Erin and Ryoka to the bathhouse, showing that they were good friends already; and helped Erin in preparing the Frost Faeries' banquet by teaching Toren how to extract Shield Spiders' venom.

Selys played a crucial role in the rescue of Lyonette after the thieving [Princess] was exiled from Liscor: Selys couldn't be seen by the Gnolls helping the girl, so she arranged for Pisces to become a Bronze-rank adventurer in exchange for him telling Erin of the fate of Lyonette. Later, when the Gnolls were boycotting Erin and Brunkr and some other Gnolls tried to attack her inn, Selys notified Zevara from within the guild where she was closely guarded by Gnolls. She also triggered the assistance of the Halfseekers.
Selys starts to accept her inheritance and her new class and decides to support Krshia Silverfang with the help of Captain Zevara to turn Liscor's Council into an elected one shifting more to a democracy.
Pisces Jealnet is a [[Necromancers|[Necromancer]]], and regular customer of The Wandering Inn. He is a Gold-ranked adventurer and member of the Horns of Hammerad.
Appearance
Pisces is a young man with pale skin, brown unkempt hair, and gray-green eyes. Initially, he was wearing dirty grey robes but later replaced them for clean white ones, enchanted to be stainless.

Personality
When he was first introduced, Pisces was an obnoxious jerk. He has the habit of using seven words where one word would suffice. Pisces often believes himself to be the smartest person in the room - that is often true, and he likes to make that obvious. While this attitude sometimes gets him into trouble, he is not ignorant of the way it makes others view him, and occasionally even acts more arrogant than he really is in order to manipulate those around him.

As a result of choosing to be a [Necromancer], Pisces often attracts scorn and hatred. He chooses to weather this hatred as ignorance, refusing to change for societal pressure, and usually turns away from others. Unlike many other [Necromancers], he seeks to achieve beauty and truth through his craft, not power and the possibility to kill others. This always set him apart from other [Mage] outlaws, at least in his mind.

By Pisces's own admittance, he would have gone the path of death and destruction like Az'kerash and many other [Necromancers] if he hadn't met Erin Solstice.

Background
Pisces is the son of Padurn and Enica Jealnet and grew up as a commoner in the Terandrian nation of Ailendamus. His father was a [Fencer] employed by the [Lord] of House Dultel. His father wanted him to also learn the trade of a [Fencer] and trained him accordingly, but Pisces eventually refused to follow in his footsteps.

His change of mind occured when he was a teenager, after meeting a [Necromancer] who showed him - as he tells it - a beautiful bone construct and helped him find out he was adept at magic, and Necromancy as well. He renounced his father's class and tried to impress his local [Lord] as a [Mage], and even finding tutorship. One early attempt of his combination of fencing and magical skills was to become a [Spellsword], but he didn't manage that before being found out as a [Necromancer].

He ran away and used magic and sleight of hand to earn enough gold to pay the price of admission to Wistram.

History
Already during his 2nd year at Wistram, Pisces had made a name for himself with his prowess in magic and dueling. He could beat students with several years on him thanks to his talent with a rapier. But he was also rich in secrets due to his use of undead. Sometimes it appeared as though he knew everything. People could be whispering in the halls and he’d pick up on it. As a result, everyone suspected Pisces of having mastered an advanced eavesdropping spell, but no one could tell when he was using it or which spell it was. No one was aware that, in actuality, he was using undead mice to listen to other people's conversations. On numerous occasions, students had been casting [Detect Magic] to try and observe him using the spell, without any success.

Chronology
Volumes 1 and 2
When introduced to the audience, Pisces was terrorizing the countryside with skeletons for money and food, but that strategy didn't work with Erin, who instead made him pay after he assaulted her inn. Contrary to what Pisces assumed, she then actually fed him. Liscor's City Watch had at that time been on the lookout for the "monster" that Pisces pretended to be, and were happy when Erin could point them to Pisces. However, when Erin learned he was going to be executed for being a [Necromancer], she changed her mind and withdrew her statements. She continued hosting Pisces in exchange for promises of future payment, but also didn't make a secret out of being disgusted with him. She tested her more dubious food on him first, regularly refused to give him the best food available, and didn't let him stay overnight. In exchange for that free food and basic hospitality, Pisces saved her life, taught her and Rags something about magic and built her a skeletal servant, Toren. Despite being Toren's creator, Pisces lost all control over the skeleton when making it obedient to Erin, a circumstance that soon regretted.

After having been exposed to Liscor's Watch, he was banned from the city for months and lived in a former bear cave that he called his den, protecting it with magical wards. This den was not suitable to study magic in, being open to all weather conditions; so he hated that place. At some point he was contacted by his former Wistram friend Ceria, who asked him to cure Ryoka's shattered leg. Pisces agreed and was paid 40 gold coins, but that payment was collected in full by Relc to pay for all of Pisces' crimes in Liscor. After that incident, Pisces was again allowed within city limits, but continued to live in his bear cave and dine at The Wandering Inn that eventually moved closer to Liscor.

Pisces again saved Erin's life during Skinner's Attack on Liscor, when he also fought the Undead that invaded the city. Afterwards, Pisces received a custom [Message] spell from Ceria informing him that she had survived in the Ruins of Liscor. Then Pisces, Erin, Ryoka, Rags, Ksmvr, and Toren all entered the ruins together and rescued Ceria and Olesm.

His luck changed when Lyonette was exiled from Liscor: Selys made him a Bronze-Rank Adventurer in exchange for making Erin save the girls life. Pisces had always been adverse to become an adventurer, but he needed to get money and higher levels. So he got himself recruited into Ceria's new Horns of Hammerad, and he thus became a full adventurer, albeit in a group of rejects and misfits.

Volume 3 onwards
Ruins of Albez...
student of Az'kerash...
Bloodfields...

Powers and Abilities
He appears to be able to cast more than 50 different spells, given that Ceria mentioned him to know more spells than she does. The highest tier Pisces can cast is in the 3rd tier with the exception of one 4th tier spell ([Invisibility]). Aside from Necromancy, he is, according to himself, a specialist of the Wind Elementalist field of magic.

Pisces managed to create an undead that can level, an extremely rare if not unique feat that was a long term dream of his. He also developed the ability to raise undead without skeletal structures, such as a baby shield spider which he uses for scouting and spying on people, since he is able to look and hear through his undead creations.

He is capable of raising eight deceased Goblins simultaneously and a Hob.

As a [Necromancer] he has a massive advantage when fighting against the undead. When Liscor was attacked by a horde of the undead, he managed to kill at least 100 minor Undead and even a Crypt Lord.

In a state of strong exhaustion he succeeded in reanimating over thirty skeletons in a ten minute period. However, that act almost killed him.

Furthermore, he is an excellent duelist, demonstrating his skill at Wistram as well as in subsequent fights. However, he does not possess the [Fencer] class, as he never wanted to level in it.

Pisces is able to create Bone Horrors, a kind of amalgamation of undead bone fragments. He has used them to clear out rats in Liscor's sewers, and has used them as weapons in the exploration of Liscor's Dungeon. After having optimized them, his primary Bone Horror has become 20% more efficient.
Former Possessions:
* Waisrabbit Bone Wand

Trivia
* His surname was first revealed in Ch 6.57.
* Seven years ago, Pisces was 16 years old when he entered Wistram Academy and a Level 14 [Mage].
* As Ceria recalls it, Pisces was a Level 22 [Necromancer] at some point during his stay at Wistram.
* He is wanted by several cities for extortion and troublemaking. Furthermore, he is also hunted by the Wistram Academy. As a result, he rarely stays in the same area for long, because every time the academy discovers his whereabouts they send out a team to capture him.
* The first Tier 4 spell Pisces knew was [Invisibility]. Learning it nearly killed him. He studied every night for at least two hours for a month before he got it down. He learned [Invisibility] when he was Level 18 and managed to level twice from learning it. The time he needed to learn a tier 4 spell is not the norm, though. It usually would require a mage much longer to be able to learn such complicated spell.
* Ksmvr is the only person who can annoy Pisces without also being annoyed by him.
* Despite the fact that Pisces took all of Nekhret's bones, he only used four of them when he created Toren.
* Pisces has indirectly caused the death of far more than 60 people (Toren's attack on Esthelm resulted in the death of "a lot of people" and Nekhret's shades killed around 60 people at Wistram)
*Pisces is aware that Erin comes from another world, though she doesn't know he is aware.
* Pisces prefers Skeletons over Zombies, because he finds the latter rotting flesh unrefined. Because of this, he does not have any Skills involving the summoning of flesh-based undead.
* It was already hinted at in 3.07 H that Pisces is not a noble from Terandria but a common-born, which was then confirmed in 6.58.
* Pisces was around 14 years old when he first leveled.
* Rufelt initially assumed that Pisces was a Gnoll as Erin had described him as a "sniffing [Necromancer]"
