<br />

Overview
The presence of this decline can most obviously be seen in Wistram Academy, where a true [Archmage] has not been seen in many years, and where the upper levels are barred to all mages. High tier spellbooks and artifacts are no longer produced, and those from ages past are treasured beyond worth.

However, some magic-related classes are not affected. Most notably [Alchemists] are producing stronger and cheaper potions over time, as recipes and ingredients are refined and cultivated.

Archmage refers to both a class and a title. The [Archmage] class is considered to be a nigh unreachable goal for [Mages] to reach, and few if any exist in the world today. By comparison the Archmage title is given to the premier [Mages] of magical institutions, most commonly in Wistram Academy. It used to be that almost all Archmages were [Archmages] in name and class, but with the general decline in magic, that is no longer the case.

Silvadart: /* Ancient Origins */

String People are one of the Races of Innworld. They are native to Chandrar. Currently their largest Kingdoms are the Nerrhavia Fallen and the Empire of Sands.

Physiology
String People are very unique in that their body parts are detailed pieces of cloth. Once attached, these body parts become real flesh and blood. Stitch People can feel, smell and bleed like the other races, but if they think it’s a bother, they can remove their body parts until later use. That makes them formidable foes, although their species is deathly afraid of fire, which can mean a swift end. However all String People possess an Original Thread, from which they were first made. Damage to that is fatal, and the body part that it resides in cannot ever be changed.

Unlike Dullahans, String People's detached body parts become inert and lose their life-like appearance. They become spare parts and only return to their flesh-like state when attached to a body again. This physiology allows String People to alter their body by adding or removing muscles. This complex process of changing their body requires expert knowledge of their body and can mess with their balance and other senses, so most String People don't alter themselves on a regular basis.

Appearance
Stitch People look exactly like Humans, with the exception of having stitch marks on various part of the body. Their bodies vary depending on the quality and craftsmanship of the cloth from which their parts are made. Poor-quality cloth means rough skin or deadened reflexes. On the other side of things, exceptional goods like silk can produce otherworldly results.

String People's bodies are basically very detailed copies of biological physiognomy: In case of Octavia's arm for example, her 'bones' are stuffed yellow cotton, with woven/stitched 'muscles' and 'sinews' attached, and strings of red woven into the arm to resemble blood vessels, then covered by the cotton skin. This results in a overall solid and stable body much like a humans - except made out of cotton.

Physical Qualities
String People can't be killed by swords easily, even if they are cut in half. However, cutting them apart in fine enough pieces will results in their death, as will removing too much of a String Person's body. Their head is apparently most susceptible to damage. The identity of a String Person is defined by the majority of the cloth they are 'made' of. The amount of cloth necessary to keep an intact identity has sparked philosophical debates among their kind.

It is implied that in wars, String People are cut up and rewoven often enough that their appearance and personality may change drastically. While it is possible to stitch String People together that resemble other creatures, things can apparently go horribly wrong, and Octavia heard horror stories on the topic.

Magical Qualities
Special Abilities
Weaknesses
Fire
As String People are mostly made of cloth, they succumb to fire.

Behavior and Culture
String People value their own highly. Still their society is caste-based, one of the few societies that practices such systems. Those who are made of rare cloth such as silk will quickly rise to the heights of society. Then common fabrics such as cotton, and finally and those that are made of lower cloth like Hemp, are at the lowest caste. Indeed, despite the ability to change limbs and even bodies, most String People cannot change their heads which will always reflect the caste in which they are born.

In their society, calling someone a Stitch-Brother or Stitch-Sister, is a high compliment for a flesh-based person to receive.

History
Ancient Origins
String People originate from Cloth Golems that were made by masters of the craft, such as [Golem Artificers], [Weavers], [High Mages] and [Witches]. Belavierr the Stitch Witch was likely took part in their creation.
Belavierr, the Stitch Witch, is a powerful witch and Wiskeria's foster mother.

Appearance
Belavierr is tall, taller even than Ryoka, and has long hair. Her eyes are filled with multiple orange glowing irises, each one smaller and smaller, disappearing into the center of her eyes.

She wears a pointed hat wide enough to cast her entire body into shade. It is dark blue as the depths of the ocean. Her body is covered with a very dark ornamented robe that is long and draping. She has black wrapping around her hands, making only the skin on her face visible.

She speaks in a deep, quiet voice with a subtle echo to it.

Her face shows no expression, and when she does try, like smiling slightly due to seeing her daughter, it comes across as awkward, and then quickly vanishes.

Personality
While she keeps being polite, she doesn't seem to be interested in other people. Even when she sees the ground filled with dead people, she is completely unfazed by it, as though they are no different than leaves.

Background
Belavierr is a wanted criminal. Amongst her charges are: <em>Murder. Kidnapping. Torture. Injury of a royal. Unlawful use of dark magic. Theft. Murder of a child. Extortion. Murder of a [Knight]. Murder of a [Guardsman]. Destruction of a city. Mass murder. Mutilation. Murder of a [Prince]. Freeing imprisoned slaves. Murder of a [Slaver]. Murder of a [Mage]. Seduction of a [Prince] (unconfirmed). Destruction of a village (uncomfirmed) and mass murder via hanging. Summoning of an unknown; mass deaths by unknown. Creation of monsters. Bribery, </em>and so forth.

It is implied by Belavierr that she had a hand in creating the String People. [Golem Artificers], [Weavers], [High Mages], and [Witches] worked together to create sentient Cloth Golems that would eventually come to be a species unto themselves.

Chronology
Powers and Abilities
Despite the fact that it has yet to be revealed how powerful she is, Ryoka noticed how similar the feeling she got from her was to being in the presence of Ivolethe, Teriarch or Az'kerash, something beyond human, implying her to be anything but weak.
Antinium, also known as The Black Tide and The invaders from Rhir, are a race of strange ant-people that had invaded Izril years ago and fought in two bloody wars known as the First and Second Antinium Wars. They live in Hives underground and mainly come in two varieties, Workers and Soldiers. More specialized versions exist, but they vary from Hive to Hive. Each Hive has its Queen and own personality, but the Antinium are united in one goal: to return home.

[[File:Antinium.png|right|thumb|600x400px|Antinium Soldier and Worker by Jason Yao]]

Physiology
Appearance
Their size varies greatly, though depending which duty each has. For example, a soldier is much taller, and wider than a worker. Their blood is green.

Worker Appearance:
They have dark brown chitinous body with a huge abdomen, bipedal legs, four arms, two feelers on top of their heads, two long pincers coming out of there mouth and black bulbous eyes which are multi-faceted like those of an insect. Their shells are as tough as any leather armor.

Soldiers Appearance:
These Antinium are nearly twice the size of Workers, with massive forearms and spiked, sharp gauntlets formed of their exoskeleton.

Physical Qualities
Antinium Soldiers fight hand-to-hand and charge into pikes and magical traps without regard for their lives. They can continue to attack even when mortally wounded, and they are capable of bludgeoning even the most well-armored warrior to death given time. They are not affected by Crelers toxins.

Antinium are capable of surviving in freezing temperatures for about two hours before needing warmth again.

Senses
All Antinium connected to the same hive can share memories and thought process, enabling telepathic communication. For both long ranges and greater synchronisation, the True Antinium had the means of the Unitasis Network.

Listener-Antinium have specialized their senses for ultra-sensitive hearing, but are unsuitable for any other role and die young.

Lifespan
The 1st Grand Queen was said to have lived for several centuries, although it is not known whether she naturally lived that long or if she had to undergo the Rite of Anastases. If Grand Queens live as long as Queens, then it is more likely that the 1st Grand Queen was forced to make use of the Rite. Before the Queen of the Free Antinium left Rhir, which means a bit over 20 years ago, she was considered "young, a new Queen, barely more than a child". And, yet, Klbkch wondered only after around 2 decades if it is time for her to go through the Rite, as she is "certainly old". This shows that the Queens have even shorter lifespans than Humans.

As for the Workers, one can make a rough estimation based on Pawn's statements. He said to have been "created long after those wars", which refers to the 2 Antinium Wars. The last one happened only 12 years ago, though it hasn't yet been revealed when it ended. Furthermore, he also said that he "lived more than half of the average Worker’s lifespan". This would mean that if one were to say that he had been created around 9 years ago, his total lifespan would probably at most be around 17 years. Although, when he was talking about the average Worker's lifespan, he might have not been referring to how long they naturallly live but their short life expectancy that is the result of being often used as soldiers in the dungeon. It is confirmed that their lifespan is at the very least above 13 years, and that it is around that age that they start to deteriorate in quality due to old age.

While it is not known how long exactly the Workers live, it is known that when they grow old, they will become slower, to the point that they would be given jobs fitting their station. As they keep aging, they will reach the point were they would be too slow and too weary, until they curl up and stop breathing.

Diet
The Antinium's diet is varied, but primarily consists of meat and other products that are ground into a nutritious but incredibly bland high-caloric paste. They can also digest most dishes eaten by humanoids, but all Antinium made biased on Galuc’s form are all naturally gluten-intolerant, making bread, pasta and similar dishes difficult to process as it makes them lethargic and does nasty things to their digestion. A weak magical charm against food poisoning has been shown to be successful in allowing them to consume these products without issue.

Soldiers need about three times the amount of food as workers. For that reason, regular workers and soldiers eat in separate mess halls and use differently-sized earthenware bowls, so that they can be served efficiently.

Despite the variety of foods that are available to them, the Antinium in Liscor's hive have shown a preference for different forms of bugs. This includes both Acid Flies and Ashfire Bees to date. Though these bugs do not meet their nutritional requirements, they are tasty.

Sleep
The Antinium do not lie down to sleep. It’s not that they can’t, but their backs do not curve like mammals, but resemble more beetle’s in many ways, like the rocking that occurs when they lie down, which is not desired. Thus, both Workers and Soldiers alike sleep while sitting. The workers of Liscor's hive have huge barrack-like sleeping areas that hold five hundred Workers, where they can rest. Six hours are adequate sleep for workers. Different Antinium are using the same alcove to sleep in during their 'sleep shift'.

Magical Qualities
Special Abilities
It is possible for the Queens to revive a deceased Antinium by doing a ritual called Rite of Anastases, but it very rarely is done, as this ritual costs a lot of resources and time (three weeks without rest), therefore the Queens would only consider a Prognugator or another Queen worthy of the effort and time required. The Antinium revived will lose a lot of levels and skills that he possessed before his death. However, the rite isn't solely used to revive deceased Antinium, but also to rejuvenate Queens that have reached a too advanced age.

The Antinium have safeguards to fight off hostile enchantments and illusions built into their very nature when they were created. One of those protections was an innate resistance to mental trickery. So, while a part of them was functionally under the effect of enchantment, the other part could still think and fight back, trying to seize control of their body back. It was an effective bit of mental conditioning that made the Antinium so effective in battle. The safeguards don't work in regards to Aberrations. As strong as the safeguards are, they still have their limits as they don't work in regards to Aberrations and should an Antinium be subjected to the effect of strong enchantments (like true [Insanity]), they would become an Aberration at once.

Weaknesses
The Antinium cannot swim. They are unable to float, and despite being able to hold their breath for an extended duration, they perish of suffocation like any other species.

Antinium have neither arteries, nor a closed circulatory system. As such when they sustain massive hemorrhage, it was impossible to close a vein or stem the bleeding. Only intensive treatment can save them at that point.

As a necessity all Antinium that are recreation and modification of Galuc’s form suffer from chemical imbalances, such as gluten-intolerance. However such imperfections do not extend to Queens and Antinium not based on Galuc.

History
The Antinum first appeared on the continent Rhir, and quickly overwhelmed the land. The Blighted King's armies were defeated time and time again, until they were forced back to the First Wall, the final defence for their kingdom. Likewise, the Demon King's forces had been bested and they had retreated to the brink of their territory. However, instead of conquering the continent, the Antinium departed suddenly and swiftly.

The kingdoms of the world watched their coasts wearily for signs of the Antinium, and it was Izril that would ultimately be the landing ground for the Antinium species. Surprisingly, of the 200 ships that were seen leaving Rhir, only 4 made landfall. The rest are assumed to have been lost at sea, a realistic possibility for a species that had never sailed before. In reality the Antinium fleet had been beset upon by a combination of enemies. First the fleets of Rhir persued them, then the pirates of the seas fought them, and then the [Mages] of Wistram and other enclaves summoned great Storms to sink their ships. The Antinum weathered all this, but were finally brought low by a Kraken and its horde, which destroyed all but 4 of the ships, all but a handful of Queens, and all but a few Centenium.

Nevertheless, their numbers were still enough to pose a serious threat. After further experimentation and sacrifice of Queens, the Antinium were able to replenish their numbers. This came at great cost to the remaing Queens, as they forced their bodies to accommodate manual birthing of thousands of Antinium, a process that had been abandoned by the Antinium as they evolved. After months of hiding and rebuilding their forces, the Antinium attacked.

This incursion led to the bloody year-long war known as, the First Incursion War or the First Antinium War, in which hundreds of thousands of Antinium soldiers established huge colonies across the southern plains, razing cities and forcing Gnoll tribes to retreat into the lower plain regions. Initially, the northern cities and allied confederacies were slow to react to the Antinium sweeping through the plateaus and rugged mountainous regions of the continent, underestimating the dangers of an entrenched Antinium hive and the true numbers of the Antinium concealed beneath the earth. It was only after five cities were lost that they decided to act.

The tide of the war only changed after the discovery of the Antinium’s fatal weakness. Using their newfound tactics, the Southern Alliance used long-range mage spells to assault Antinium hives and deter attacking forces. Several hives were destroyed entirely before a temporary truce was formed between the Antinium Queens and the Collective and the leaders of the city-states. This peace was tenuous however and lasted for only eight years when the Antinium attacked again, leading to the Second Incursion War.

There are currently six known Antinium hives in the world, and all are located in Izril. All five of them are being under the authority of the Grand Queen. One of the laws she set was that the queens of each colony, are prohibited to bear queens of their own.

Culture
They have a strict caste system, therefore every member of the hive has a single task to fulfill —a warrior is to defend the hive, a worker to construct, and so on. Another noticeable feature of the race is the lack of self-consciousness. Every Antinium, except for selected few, such as the queen, and the Prognugator, appears almost machine-like. The only thing they live for is to simply fulfill the task that was given to them. There have been few, who managed to achieve self-consciousness, called Aberrations or Individuals.

Once an Antinium has become an Aberration it becomes immensely aggressive and tries to kill everything it sees. As a result of that, once someone has been identified to be one, they are immediately killed. Individuals, on the other hand, show no such negative behaviors, and as a result of that are very desired by the hive, though the success rate of an Antinium becoming one is extremely low. Only the Queen of the Free Antinium is still trying to create Individuals, as the other ones think it to be pointless and only leads to a waste of resources.

Centenium
The Centenium had been the ageless champions of the Antinium. While it appears that the knowledge to create them had been lost, it is said that the Antinium sacrificed a million lives for the first Centenium.

They were made long ago. For one purpose. The Grand Queen made many Antinium in many shapes to serve every role imaginable, but one hundred of them she labored upon, gave individuality to, gave names and strength beyond the rest. They were not made to be spent and replaced like the other Antinium. The Centenium were made to be one thing and one thing alone: to be heroes.

Currently, only 3 Centenium are still alive. While it is not known what exactly the original task of the Centenium was, it was said that it relates directly to Gods.
Trivia
* Antinium are neither capable of blinking, nor weeping.
* Liscor's Hive created their own alcohol, Rxlvn.
* Liscor's Hive is the smallest of the six with only around 4000 Antinium.
* A Drake [Tactician] during the 1st Antinium War believed each Antinium Soldier to be the equivalent of any Level 15 [Warrior], maybe even stronger the longer the fight lasts them.
* 1,000 Antinium Soldiers are roughly as strong as 2 Gold-rank teams.
* The Antinium greatest disaster occurred on the oceans when they lost almost their entire people. Even now, they are a fraction of what they were.
* The first Grand Queen was a Level 79 [Supreme Matriarch] – a special class gained from advancing in the [Queen] class for centuries. She was extraordinary among her people because she continued to level even in her later years. She only truly desired one class and seemingly mainly focused on that one, making it highly likely for that to be the reason for her high level, as Ryoka's theory seems to indicate. However, Klbkch stated for her to have had another class, which he oddly enough can't remember anymore.
* It is implied that the Antinium created themselves. Whether this is the creation of individual Antinium by a queen, or the creation of the entire race, is unclear. If one takes into consideration how the race is described and how the Antinium are formed/born it is possible that the creation of the race was the work of an intelligent monster becoming sentient and consequently changing both the looks and inborn roles of its insect Hive-type race from its origins to the Antinium, possibly over a longer period of time and several generations of Queens.
* The Antinium don’t have anesthesia or painkillers, which leaves them awake and aware of all the pain they sustain, even during painful treatment.
The Queen isn't like her subjects who look vaguely humanoid but appears completely insectile. She is gargantuan and possesses a massive, bloated body with huge feelers.
Despite the queen being quite large, she is, by quite a margin, the lightest of all Antinium Queens in Izril, which is proven by the fact that she is still able to move, even if just to a small degree.

Personality
Background
She was barely more than a child before she fled Rhir, created to venture a new world. With her, over 300 other Queens and several of their Centenium were sent, with the purpose of building an army, and then come back to defeat their enemy, the sleeping God. A rearguard stayed to fight for years, decades if need be, stopping their enemy to overrun the continent before their return. The Free Queen was just a student to the [Shaper Queen] Bessachidia, who could create, heal, and change Antinium to an extent far beyond any other Queen.

What the Antinium hadn't expected was the danger the sea posessed. First they were attacked by fleets of Rhir, persuing them in vengeful flight. Then pirates, united against the monsters from Rhir. They were fended off, with losses that came from the Antinium's natural weakness to water. Then great Storms came, summoned by Wistram and [Mages] across the world. However, even after all this, only a seventh of the ships had been sunk. In the end it was the monsters of the sea, Krakens and the like that slew the vast majority of the Antinium fleet.

Only 4 of the 200 ships survived and of hundreds of queens, less than 20 survived. The Queen of the Free Antinium was one of them, with none being qualified or trained, hoping to be able to rebuild what was lost.

More queens perished in early experiments on Izril. As they pushed and forced their bodies to accommodate the restoration of the species. The Free Queen was lucky to have been young, as she was deemed too frail to take part in the first tests. 8 queens died before the first new queens came to be, and all the queens were irrevocably changed, crippled by their choice.

The Queen had endured the ridicule and scorn of her fellow Queens for many years for her attempt to create individuals.

She dissented with the Grand Queen about the future of the Antinium in Izril after the Second Antinium War ended, and agreed to keep away from the other Antinium hives and move to Liscor where she built up a her new hive of the "Free Antinium".

Appearance
Rags is small and short, even by goblin standards. Although Rags is still young, she is considered to be "undeniably attractive" by Goblins.

Personality
Rags is an unparalleled genius of her race. She has enough curiosity to first approach and then learn how to play chess from Erin.

Rags has a lot of pride and is very stubborn. She is very tactical and through her race's 'stealing' natural ability, her tribe is boosted in intelligence enough to eventually build a trebuchet only one day after seeing one work.

She considers Erin to be her friend.

Background
Initially, her Flooded Waters Tribe resided in the Floodplains next to Liscor, hence the tribe's name. At that time her tribe was still small, however already mentally and technologically superior to the other goblin tribes. Their weaponry, a mix between a pistol and a slingshot, was originally founded from the remains of a broken crossbow.

Chronology
Rags was raised by her parents, who were murdered by Relc near the Wandering Inn. Rags was hiding behind the bushes, and because of her distance from the group and her small stature, Relc did not notice that there was one more goblin remaining. When Erin buried the goblin corpses, Rags attempted to attack her, but Erin could knock her off and she could escape.

Later, she was given food for free and learned how to play chess - this lead Rags to eventually view The Wandering Inn as a sort of 'heaven.' Unfortunately, Rags had to realize that she was not safe near the inn because of people like Relc. She still returned to the inn regularly with several goblins as bodyguard.

After the destruction of the old inn, Rags was intimidated by Relc and Ceria who made it clear to her that Liscor's patrols would soon get rid of her tribe. However, Rags' tribe was also boxed in between the Redfang Tribe and the Broken Spear Tribe and not capable to move. After pooling the mental skills of her entire tribe, they invented a new projectile-throwing weapon based on the remains of a broken crossbow found in Skinner's ruins. To acquire more power, Rags scouted Liscor's Dungeon but had to realize it was too dangerous for her tribe. Even worse, the relocated inn had Relc as a patron again, and he threatened Rags to leave yet again. This time she took him even more serious and started her campaign against other goblin tribes of the area to amass the power to break out of the Floodplains valley.

Rags' tribe begun by overwhelming several smaller tribes of the Floodplains, such as the Jawbreaker, Bloody Hand, and Sword Taker tribes. This was enough to grab the attention of the Redfang tribe, who called a summit with the surrounding tribes, assumedly to deal with the upstart. On the way to the meet, the Gold Stone tribe is ambushed by Rags' Flooded Waters tribe, and with realitvely few casualties, they are assimilated into her group.

However, this is revealed to be a trap by Garen Redfang, who attacks the Flooded Waters tribe with a contingent of elite Carn Wolf riders. They carve through Rags' forces before their main army arrives, and she is forced into a costly retreat back towards Liscor. Many goblins are slain or desert her tribe during the retreat, until finally Rags makes a stand in a valley. She utilises her cunning to set traps and ambushes and finally bests Garen Redfang in single combat with the aide of an acid jar, though they both acknowledge that he let her beat him. The Redfang tribe is assimilated into Rags' tribe, and Garen Redfang takes the role of Rags' mentor, despite her aversion to the idea.

After being refused entry to the The Wandering Inn due to the presence of Mrsha who had just lost her entire tribe to goblins, Rags is convinced by Garen Redfang to take her tribe north. On her way north she burns Esthelm to the ground, killing all who raised a weapon or resisted, while allowing those who fled to escape without pursuit.

Garen brings Rags to Tremborag's Mountain, where Tremborag proceeds to treat her as unimportant due to her lack of combat strength. Tremborag then plans a raid on a human town, where Rags seeks to prove herself by vastly improving his plan. Rags plan initially goes off well, until Gold Rank adventurers emerge to help defend the town. This takes Rags by surprise, as the area around Liscor had no Gold Ranks while Rags lived there. Tremborag emerges in his muscular form and easily crushes the Gold Ranks and continues to look down on Rags for her weakness.

Their numbers were still enough to pose a serious threat, and after months of hiding and rebuilding their forces, the Antinium attacked.
