Seven months after arriving to Menorome, [[Haeight]] is severely overworked to the point of exhaustion, having being gradually crushed by the corruption of the Guild. After filing a report, she is approached by Desk Hunter Marvekh, who informs her about a city in danger of an incoming Crypt Lord. Haeight is aggravated, especially since the Crypto Lord had risen from the Lightless Canyons, which was last swept for undead three months ago when it should have been cleared monthly. With no senior Hunters available and all the Veteran Hunters busy or claiming their indulgences, Haeight is forced to take the assignment.

			Before leaving, [[Haeight]] goes to the second floor of the Hunter’s Guild. She is sickened to see a group of eighty Veteran Hunters enjoying their indulgence of gluttony, feasting on multiple, luxury courses prepared by a [Royal Chef]. Meanwhile, Haeight is forced to choose only one enchanted arrow, and the rest of her equipment is just as limited. She leaves the Guild on a horse, tired beyond belief.
