I totally overlooked this part the first time I read this chapter. I think his apprentice is the Goblin Lord, given that, well, he is a Necromancer, AND Ryoka explicitly mentioned how his eyes look exactly like Az'kerash's

Furthermore, the next sentence was "But it would be more interesting to let that one run free a little while.", and as we know, he IS running free for the time being, slaughtering everything what's in his path.
