Thunderfur is seen constantly at Redscar's side, whether it be transporting Redscar to carry out [[Rags]]' orders or when mounted in battle.
===Volume 5===
While the [[Flooded Waters Tribe]] travelled to [[The Wandering Inn]], Redscar allowed other [[Goblins]] to ride on Thunderfur. When they arrive at [[Liscor]], Redscar has Thunderfur and the rest of the tribe wait at the bottom of the hill while he investigated the inn. Thunderfur follows Redscar, despite his command to stay. Redscar is hesitant to enter the inn, until Thunderfur nudges him and whines to go inside. Redscar sees the sign: ''No killing Goblins'' and waves for his tribe to enter.{{ref|5.59}}

After entering the inn, [[Erin Solstice]], the five Redfang Hobs, and [[Spiderslicer]] encounter the Flooded Waters Tribe. Erin asks if Thunderfur is trained, and states that he would have to stay outside if he was going to pee inside her inn. Thunderfur growls at Erin, until she exerts her [Inn's Aura] and forces Thunderfur to sit. He lowers his head submissively to Erin, to the surprise of the Goblins. Erin offers to feed the new Goblin arrivals, and a steak for Thunderfur, for free for the night. She calls him a "doggy", to the consternation of Redscar. Thunderfur watches Redscar eat and whines, until Erin offers him another steak. {{ref|5.59}}

During the battle with the [[Reiss|Goblin Lord]], Thunderfur works with Redscar to kill undead and enemy Goblins. Towards the end of the battle and the Goblins' defeat, Redscar and Thunderfur grab [[Badarrow]] and transport him away. They carry him to the gathering of Goblins around Rags.{{ref|thereafter}}

===Volume 7===
Redscar and Thunderfur work together to kill a [[Wyvern]] during a Wyvern attack on [[Goblinhome]], in the [[High Passes]]. After the Wyvern attack, Thunderfur is briefly flirting with another Carn Wolf. Redscar takes Thunderfur and Rags out of Goblinhome to ride and speak. [[Leapwolf]] and other Goblins join them as an escort. It is revealed that Thunderfur is now the alpha wolf of the Redfang Carn Wolves, and that half of the new wolf litters were his.{{ref|7.12 G}}

During their ride, the patrol encounters [[Teriarch]] in his Dragon form. Redscar commands Thunderfur to take Rags away while the Goblins move to attack Teriarch and protect her. Teriarch paralyzes the wolves and Goblins. Thunderfur is frozen mid-air, but is caught and lowered to the ground by Teriarch. Rags dismounts Thunderfur and joins Teriarch, to speak in his cave. Teriarch uses magic to send the Goblins and Carn Wolves back to Goblinhome.{{ref|7.12 G}}

===Volume 8===
When [[Belavierr]] attacks the Wandering Inn and Mrsha, the Flooded Waters Tribe joins the fray. At Rags' order, Redscar and Thunderfur lead a charge of Carn Wolves down to assist.{{ref|8.28}}

In an attempt to find a cure for Erin, Rags and her tribe attacks [[Tenbault]]. Redscar and Thunderfur attack Named Adventurer [[Merdon]] while Rags and [[Calescent]] kidnap the [[Hekusha|Healer of Tenbault]].{{ref|8.39}} Redscar and Thunderfur flee with the rest of the tribe, who scatter at Rags' command to go back to Goblinhome. Redscar, Thunderfur, and other Goblins and Carv Wolves went deaf from the bellowing of Crowdcaller Merdon.{{ref|Songs and Stories}}{{ref|8.46 G}}

Redscar and Thunderfur follow Rags, who is riding a Wyvern with the Healer of Tenbault webbed to its back. For two days, Redscar and other mounted Redfangs follow Rags, punching through lines of Humans in pursuit. They rode for two days before catching up to Rags. The Goblins stop to rest, while Calescent created Savor Pancakes for everyone. Rags is about to eat hers when she discovers Thunderfur had guiltily licked her pancakes clean. Rags and Thunderfur briefly get into a minor scuffle, to the others' amusement.{{ref|8.46 G}}

Hekusha, the Healer of Tenbault, heals the Goblins and Carn Wolves of their deafness with her [Restoration] spell, on the grounds that they treat her well while she is in captivity. The Goblins continue to flee the Humans in pursuit, until they encounter toxic smoke in the air that grounded [[Snowscale]] the Frost Wyvern. They encounter a [[Yellow Powder Tribe|hostile Goblin tribe]] who warn them against continuing.{{ref|8.46 G}}

Rags urges her tribe forward, putting on gas masks made by [[Kevin]] to protect them from the toxic air. Redscar places a complex hood over Thunderfur's face to protect him from the air as well. The [[Neuz|Chieftain]] of the the masked Goblins sees Thunderfur's mask and the hostility immediately evaporates. The [[Yellow Powder Tribe]] also masks their dogs, and the two tribes become allies.{{ref|8.46 G}}

===Volume 9===
Rags and Thunderfur appear on [[Relz|Sir Relz]]'s broadcast for an interview, proclaiming that her tribe also want to participate in the <Heroic Quest>. Rags leaves the interview by mounting on Thunderfur and padding away.{{ref|9.13}}

Redscar and Thunderfur return to Liscor and the Wandering Inn.{{ref|Relationships}} They both enter the inn as [[Lyonette]] announces the Wandering Inn's reopening..{{ref|9.19}} The Goblins stay in the inn, a few to a room. Due to limitations, Redscar is unable to sleep alongside Thunderfur during his stay at the inn.{{ref|9.20}}

Later, Redscar is petting and feeding Thunderfur popcorn within the inn. He wants to speak to Erin about what it takes for Goblins and Humans to befriend each other. He invites her to pet Thunderfur, who enjoys the attention.{{ref|9.65}}

Redscar, Thunderfur, and [[Perorn]] fight [[Kasigna]]. Kasigna uses <Your Mortal Wounds Open>, which reopens all of the scars and wounds on their bodies.{{ref|9.67 Pt 2}} The three collapse. Thunderfur bleeds out while Redscar manages to survive, thanks to his Skills.{{ref|Volume9Epilogue}}
