Lyonnette meanwhile fails in her attempts to distract the bees with smoke, and has to flee into a snow pile. Upon her return to the inn, she realizes that she never watered the flowers. She does so now, but most are dead. She burns one dead flower in the fire place, and the soporific smoke knocks her out. With a plan in mind, Lyonette approaches the bees again and harvests a lot of honey. When she returns to the inn, Mrsha is there waiting, and they have a breakfast together.
