Chapter 2.37 is the 37th chapter of Huntsong.
Synopsis[edit | edit source]
Haeight spends the first seventeen hours of her indulgence of sloth asleep. Bleary-eyed, she buys some food with her Hunter’s Card, only to realize she lacks cooking utensils or even firewood. Withrel and Novice Hunter Ridine arrives at Haieght’s apartment to check up on her, only to catch her eating the ingredients raw. Haieght is embarrassed even further when Ridine points out that she has cooking equipment as part of her Hunter’s gear.
The Novice Hunter goes out to buy more ingredients with Haieght’s Hunter’s Card. She prepares a proper meal, having experience cooking from helping out when the [Chefs] are busy, as well as the Veteran Hunters requesting their services. At the mention of the latter, the mood in the room abruptly sours. Withrel reveals that a Veteran Hunter recently died under unknown circumstances, with the funeral being a closed casket.
When Ridine mentions that she rarely gets to train with other [Hunters], Haeight arranges a training session with seventy Novice Hunters. However, she is punched in the head twice by Veteran Hunter Pictirm, who reprimands her for not following her indulgence of sloth. After being scolded by Desk Hunter Marvekh, with her vacation forcibly extended for another day, Haeight returns to her apartment.
