Tom leaves his room and walks the halls and finds himself in the room of mirrors talking to himself, the Fool arrives looking to drink and invites Tom to join him and talk, becoming friends. The fool mentions that all of Erille's other siblings save [[Isodore]] have died.

The next day the Americans leave to explore the city while Tom returns to his room to sleep off his hangover. Princess Erille, who has escaped her guards, finds him alongside the Fool asking if he can teach her to back-flip, accidentally revealing that the Blighted King has sent most of the soldiers to the front. Erille's sister appears to bring Erille back.
