Synopsis
After sixteen hours of sleep, Haeight is woken by the sound of incessant knocking. Thinking that it’s a salesman, she goes to yell at them only to find a grinning Greina and her team. The Duchess gives the flabbergasted [Hunter] a bear hug, then literally carries her out of the apartment to find a private place to talk. Worried about spies and listening spells from the palace or Hunter’s Guild, Telleis suggests that they go to Seraphel’s mansion. Once secured in a private dressing room, Noble Spirit properly introduces themselves to Haeight. Telleis and Greina had met when they were Silver-ranks while disguising themselves, while Rells and Nells are twin Lizardfolk who are [Spearmasters], but “only when [they] fight together.” Haeight realizes that Noble Spirit has been acting in the Hunters’ Guild stead, killing as many undead as they can justify. An ashamed Greina admits to her guilt about quitting the Hunter’s Guild and never contacting Haeight. The [Hunter] brushes it off, admitting that she now understands some of Greina’s reasoning after seeing the Guild’s condition for herself.
