Seraphel is tired after entertaining Seratoito at his mansion. In spite of his narcissism, he is doted on by his wife, Agshiga, who demonstrates her fighting ability by wiping the floor with Dalimont. Seraphel admits that she’s grown to like Noelictus and its people, like the charming King Allorev and the good-hearted Princess Kadane. She’s even gotten used to the spiders in court. However, she’s unable to countenance why the King keeps indulging the Hunter’s Guild and refuses to help Afiele, and speculates on whether he actually did fornicate with a spider. Her musings are interrupted by Duchess Greina and her team, with a [[Haeight|white-haired [Hunter]]] in tow, who need a private place to speak. The Calanferian embassy is an ideal place for gossiping without being overheard, except for by the Thronebearers themselves, who are considered able spies. While Seraphel is slightly guilty for overhearing Greina’s conversation, she is shocked to learn of the larger picture of Noelictus’s and the Hunter’s Guild’s corruption. The [Princess] relays all she’s learned to her parents. However, concerned about the impending threat of Ailendamus, they order her to focus on Ovela and the Twins, having arranged a “quick wedding.”
