Chapter 4.46 is the 56th chapter of Volume 4 and the 19th chapter of Book 6, The General of Izril.

Greybeard speaks to the Goblin Lord and Osthia. The Goblin Lord fights off another army.
Synopsis[edit | edit source]
After her capture Osthia Blackwing is observing the Goblin Lord's Camp in the expectation that she'll report her knowledge once she escapes. The army is close to Invrisil. The Goblin Lord cold reads Osthia to gather information about strategy and more.
The Goblin Lord aims to integrate a nearby mountain tribe headed by a strong chieftain.
Greybeard arrives at and speaks with Goblin Lord. The latter is surprised about Greybeard's age, and discusses what it means to be a goblin, as well as rumours about being a slave.
An army attacks the Goblin Lord's army. Osthia witnesses the battle, and the goblins' use of proper army tactics such as box and spear formations. While the Goblin Lord charges the enemy army's commander, Osthia and Greybeard talk, about goblin lords, kings, but also slaves and cowards. Greydeath disappears, but not before threatening Osthia.
The Goblin Lord explains his three-battles-strategy: the first against other goblins, the second against humans, and the third defending their home to be.
