== Geography == A key part of Avalon is perspective, which determines not just how visitors perceive the world, but also how they are able to interact with it. Obstructions can be bypassed and enemies can be reduced and easily beaten simply by enforcing a certain perspective onto them. On the other hand, dangers can be concealed by malignant entities until it is too late, and not all inhabitants can have their perspective manipulated in this way without their will. Skilled manipulators can seemingly fast forward events or interactions and fix images in someone's eyes to conceal their nature. The thoughts of unmastered minds can leak out and be read by anyone. The sky is eternally summer. The "mood" of Avalon is said to represent Oberon's disposition. === Layout === At the outer stretches of Avalon lay a high but unknown number of hills, each with a portal to a different world. The portals are formed by arches of worn stone in different shapes, including but not limited to rectangles, ovals, or squares. On each hill are a number of flowers or swords, armor, and flags, which each represent a Fae that died in that world. Seen in another perspective, each portal is at the end of a hallway lined with the statues of Fae killed in that world. Most portals are simply inactive, but a few are truly broken. By far the most flowers are on the hill which leads to Innworld. A road from the hilltops leads directly to the center of Avalon. Some distance from the hills, one path splits between a forest of World Trees and a ruined city. Both are still considered the other realms of Avalon. The trees of the World Tree forest are unimaginably tall and vast. Many creatures live in the World Tree Forest, including giant spiders, large predatory squirrels with multi-faceted eyes of flesh, the giant immortal Lord Rabbit, a Titan, Dryads, and Nama. In a particular peaceful part of the forest, an undisturbed sanctuary, three Arthur Pendragons at various ages are gathered around the sword in the stone. In its past, the ruined city contained golden spires, rounded architecture with entrances at every height and size, and vast streets, with materials that would never fade or break and windows of beautiful substances. In its present ruined state, the streetlights and windows are destroyed, the buildings decayed. Faded statues are scattered around the city. Only a few buildings remain lit up. The city was originally built and populated by immortal visitors wanting to share their world and compete with others, in honor of the Fae and Oberon. The city is inhabited by a young Golden Dragon and the Unseelie Court, carnivorous Fae, each an insectile, clicking, jittering, slithering, twisted mass of flesh with heads and mouths that open and unfold. They are able to fit through tiny spaces and conceal themselves as or control objects and the area around them. Past the outer realms of the forest and the ruined city, there exist many "plots" of land next to each other, brought by the refugees from different old worlds. One such is an ancient, medieval farmhouse and fields of wheat lay in a meadow, overlooked by a Treant on a hill, with a stream slowly turning a water wheel. A decayed, partially repaired, village inhabited by the ghosts of Humans is beyond the farmhouse. Another plot holds a giant mountainside with caves, inhabited by dozens of female Wyrms. Another plot contains a large expanse of grass like fire and heat waves, inhabited by a Phoenix. Another contains a potluck with all sorts of feathered folk. Another contains frozen lakes with behemoths swimming in the deep. There are dozens or perhaps hundreds more. Past these pieces of old worlds lay the Courts of the Fae, where Frost Faeries and Summer Faeries live. Past them is the center of Avalon, where Oberon lives.
