== Geography == When Ryoka ran past Liscor to find Az'kerash in the Bloodfields, on the third day she ascended an elevation that can be understood to be the southern border of the flood plains. On the fourth day, she encountered the first curiously red plants, and the blood fields: The Blood Grass covers a vast, flat plains that is wholly red. Some close edges of the Bloodfields to Liscor are approximately 90 miles south of the city.<!--in the chapter: "Only about as far as to Celum. Even less, I think." And Celum is 88 miles north of Liscor. Also, the fields are not a spot in the landscape, at the very least they cover an area the size of Connecticut or Vermont. Or both. So exact distance calculation are pretty much not possible.--><ref name="6.56">[https://wanderinginn.com/2019/11/12/6-56/ Chapter 6.56]</ref> The city of Liscor funded a new road from Liscor to the South of Izril in the summer after Erin's arrival. After some exploration, the route was built east of the Bloodfields, with a good security distance between the Bloodfields and the road.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2019/12/18/6-64/ Chapter 6.64]</ref> This road was finished in Volume 7. The Drake cities that are closest to Liscor along this south route are the cities of the Hectval-Drisshia-Luldem Alliance<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2020/06/03/7-27/ Chapter 7.27]</ref>, also the city of Lyszen (a hotspot for adventurers)<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2016/11/27/1-28/ Chapter 1.28]</ref> and the village of Sasil from where Liscor imports most of its vegetables.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2018/07/28/5-07/ Chapter 5.07]</ref> Inside the Crossroads of Izril, the Bloodfields taint most of the land north of [[Imlerith]], save for the road and the mountain ranges.<ref name=":0" />
