==Personality==
Calescent enjoys making all of his dishes spicy, regardless of his diners' personal preference. He also insists that Goblins should eat at least twice a day, knowing from experience what was like to starve, even making spice-less food, which for him is a crime against cuisine, if it means that they properly eat.<ref name=":7.12 G" /> He is kind-hearted and earnest in his desire to know non-Goblins, as evident by him trying to become friends with [[Hekusha|the Healer of Tenbault]].<ref>[[Chapter 8.46 G]]</ref> Calescent has a sharp memory, being able to memorize a complicated meal request from Falene after hearing it once.<ref>[[Chapter 9.25]] </ref> He has an acute sense when it comes to cooking, and can discern whether or not some food has gone bad, such as when he had a funny feeling about some [[Eater Goats|Eater Goat]] meat (which was contaminated with plague by [[Tolveilouka Ve’delina Mer|Tolveilouka]]).<ref>[[Chapter 9.13]]</ref>
