Erin visits Selys and they travel to the Ruins of Liscor. On a second trip to the city, Erin is paid her gold for slaying the [[Shield Spiders]] (see [[Chapter 1.30 (Archived)]]). When the innkeeper returns, someone has pillaged her inn, which makes Erin furious. She spends four gold coins on a shortsword and buckler to bribe Rags into being her inn guard. This deal doesn't work out, but Rags agrees on a deal where she can keep the weapons and also gets acid jars from Erin; for generally being around and paying Erin back.

Afterwards, Pisces presents her with a skeleton which is supposed to be her guard and attuned to follow her orders. Erin doesn't like the idea or the skeleton, but she eventually gives her new undead minion the task of cleaning up her upper floors.
