| | The rest of the morning, Valeterisa is bombarded with peoply vying for her attention - Liscor's Council wants her to enchant the newly erected walls, and Eldavin wants her to play a part in his games of politics. Additionally, she is trying to mend bridges with Hedault, who she screwed over in the past. |
| [[Valeterisa Imarris|Valeterisa]] was reading her favorite book in her room at [[The Wandering Inn]] when the place is attacked by a Manavore with the [[Archmage]] knowing that it was her experiments that attracted the [[monster]], after it was killed Valeterisa reveals that she was what attracted the monster to the inn to [[Lyonette du Marquin|Lyonette]] assuring that her experiments are nothing to be worried about. Returning back to the Archmage's room, [[Montressa du Valeross|Montressa]] can see what her master been working on as she witnesses the raw liquid mana affect the room with its concentrated purity before they go back down to have breakfast, Valeterisa then meets with [[Liscor's Council]] with them requesting her to re-enchant the city's walls but she refuses. She then talks with [[Eldavin]] who speaks to her about [[Wistram]] politics to raise the status of the [[Terras]] faction and request that she goes to [[Heiste]] to look into the complaints they're getting, [[Relc Grasstongue|Relc]] arrives at the inn for his lunch break bringing up a piece of [[Shield Spiders]] Chitin and how the technique to make it was lost after the [[Necromancer's Siege of Liscor]]. Relc brings up the topic about enchanting Liscor's walls which makes Valeterisa now willing to do it seeing it as a way to teach her apprentice while internally regretting saying that but doesn't mind now as her [[Drake]] partner gives her affection.

| Valeterisa had previously tried to make amends with [[Hedault]] but the Enchanter had refused giving her the light of day making her wonder what she did to sour their relationship, being able to snag an appointment with Hedault as a favor to her assistant she tries to offer him money and other valuable thing when he brings up the incident of attempted seduction, theft and lost reputation she caused. After being shown the door, Valeterisa returns to the inn to speak with Relc about the magical item she stole from Hedault, the couple then have a spar outside which makes Valeterisa realize how dangerous her partner really is but even with that there's still a disparity between their strengths. That night Valeterisa was teaching Montressa on how to enchant Liscor's walls so that she can go deal with her other appointments with the [[Dwarves]] of [[Dwarfhalls Rest]] and Heiste the next day.

| Valeterisa wakes up to see Lyonette order the inn staff around as she makes her way to Dwarfhalls Rest, Forgemaster [[Cadimus]] requests that she enchants their magical hammers and create assembly lines for them which she is able to finish in a few days. [[Rlint]] commends the Archmage for the work she's saving them going into the rivalry they have with [[Pelt Dooristone|Pelt]] on forging [[Adamantium]], giving a small discount to the Dwarves she presents [[Mithril]] boots to Relc before Montressa comes to her that it'll take her two months for her to complete the enchantment of the walls. Many things are distracting Valeterisa from her magic such as an [[Acid Flies|Acid Fly]] becoming mutated due to her liquid mana causing her to get banned from storing any more at the inn, upset Valeterisa goes to where Relc is seeing him train with a bunch of apprentices in the spear making her think about how much time he's wasting being a [Guardsman]. | | Meanwhile, Valeterisa's experiment, which involves storing large quantities of raw mana in her room with [My Mana Runs Thick as Blood], has caused another commotion: an acid fly crawled into the room and mutated into a monstrosity, resulting in a ban on storing mana at the inn. |

| Having breakfast at [[Barehoof Kitchen]], Valeterisa brings up the point of Relc taking a sabbatical to train on his spearmanship but he refuses as he feels like its not for him explaining his thoughts on the matter to her, she in turn expresses about hating all of the time she's wasting on unimportant things. She realizes then and there that she wants her relationship with Relc even if it was a ''hindrance'' at times as [[Imani Okpara|Imani]] comes out of her kitchen bringing with her two chocolate cakes for the couple to have, feeling better Valeterisa goes back to the inn to grab Montressa to make their way to Heiste when she learns that it's more than just the two of them that she taking there with Relc, Hedault, [[Bezale]], Palt, Imani, [[Wailant Strongheart|Wailant]], and [[Viceria Strongheart|Viceria]] arriving at the inn. After [[Nanette Weishart|Nanette]] had her tantrum she's allowed to go with the other [[Mages]] to Heiste with [[Grimalkin Duveig|Grimalkin]] joining as well making a detour to [[Ulta Lands]] to request for [[Pryde Ulta|Pryde's]] participation but soon leave after receiving no contact from the [Lady].

| During one of their resting stops in House Sanito's lands, Wailant approaches Valeterisa for an autograph as the others take in the nature around them, Hedault critiques the [[spell]] formation the Archmage has done making the others Mages join in on the conversation, Wailant—while ignorant of the more intricacies of the magic done—points out that most critters and beings would ignore the teleport anchors. On another resting point, Viceria speaks with Valeterisa about the magic she does with farming [[Sage’s Grass]] and how they obfuscate it from vermin, Valeterisa brings up her raw, liquid mana incident with the Mages thinking on how to hide it from monsters when Wailant again suggest an interesting thought of changing the nature of the magic to make it inert for monsters to use. As they were about to leave Relc stops Valeterisa for her to meet with a child fan of her casting magic to impress the young boy reminding her of why she practiced magic to begin with, the other mages began to cast spells themselves to awe the crowd and doing the same in other towns they stop at.

| Camping a few stops away from the isle, Valeterisa conjures up a magical building ready with a kitchen for Imani to start cooking, some of the men are off to the side around the fire having their conversation while the women of the group gather for their own chat. Relc confers with Wailant and and Palt about his relationship with Valeterisa while Palt talks about people bothering him and Imani about how they have sex sharing the secret, the girls listening in also speak on the topic about the dangers of having sex with those that have [[Galas Muscle]]. [[Salamani]] arrive at their campsite on the behalf of three guilds to send Valeterisa messages from families whose deceased perished at her mansion that refused her reparations of gold, the Mage Runner joins the group on their journey to Heiste asking everyone what happened during the Winter Solstice making them gossip about those affected by the event like Pryde. Wailant wonder when Hedault will start looking for a partner as one of the few single folk there but he explains that life is vibrant enough that he doesn't have that desire within him to need a partner which reminds him of [[Kevin Hall|Kevin]] that understood that mindset, the group begin to speak of the dead with Valeterisa touching upon [[Verdan Blackwood|Verdan]].
| | Since the island is too far away to make it there in one teleportation jump, they make several stops along the way. Grimalkin uses this to try and visit Lady Pryde, who is hiding from the world in her estate and still isn't ready to see him. As the group continues, they start getting along better, and not only do their perspectives help Valeterisa with her magic research, she discovers that she is an inspirational figure for Izril's populace while visiting several settlements along the way. |

| The group arrives at Heiste with the [[Wellfar Family|Wellfar]] Nobles and [Guard Captain of Paradise] explaining that when [[Khelt]] shouted about [[Seamwalkers]] to the world that a lot of the magical creations and functions of Heiste ceased to work such as the [[Golems]] and the release of monsters from the lower laboratories. While Valeterisa, Grimalkin, and Hedault deal with the problems of the island everyone else takes a tour of what the Archmage's Isle has to offer, it only takes the mages half a day to do what they can to patch what's broken leaving them time to enjoy the island as well. Valeterisa wears a swimsuit enchanted with an [Illusion] spell finding Relc with the two having a heart-to-heart conversation as they travel through [[Valmira|Valmira's]] mansion, on the beach they eat food from the infinite cornucopia with Valeterisa speaking on her idol and how more impressive Valmira was compared to her. Hedault remarks that even with all her greatness that the renown Archmage was an unhappy woman with her creations on the island painting a very clear picture.
| | In the evening, just as the group grows even closer by discussing their sex life, Salamani and Ci arrive with a message for Valeterisa - she still has to account for all the deaths that occurred while she was lost in her [Parallel Thoughts]. Nanette invites him to join, and they discuss the Solstice battle, Pryde's disfigurement, and and when the topic of relationships reaches Hedault, he reveals that he has no sexual or romantic interest in anyone, and is content with that. He mourns the death of Kevin, who understood him, and as they start talking about the dead, Valeterisa finally understands what actual community feels like. |

| Two days later, Valeterisa lets out that she enjoyed her time with the others there with the other mages understanding about not having enough time to focus on their magics, Relc asks how being in [[Fissival]] and Wistram truly like with Valeterisa explaining the difference between the two magical establishments with the [[Walled City]] of Incantations as a place that caters to magical needs with the Isle of Mages a place were secrets are discovered and traded for. Imani asks Viceria why she didn't teach [[Garia Strongheart|Garia]] magic at all with the [Green Mage] telling that she didn't want her daughter to grow in the environment that Wistram offers while also still being ignorant of the real world, Grimalkin and Hedault share of their initial poor experience with Wistram.
| | Soon after, they arrive on the island paradise that is Heiste. Valeterisa is supposed to fix several of the magical wonders there, which broke with the dissappearance of the ghosts. Having brought so many [Mages] along, she is left with enough time to enjoy a small holiday with Relc and to contemplate her life. She comes to the conclusion that Archmage Valmira, for all her magical genius, was a deeply unhappy woman, and that she doesn't want to live her life exactly like her idol did. |

| The topic shifts over Valeterisa's great work of rediscovering [Auto Spell] with her telling them that she had to relearn her spells to understand what they were even doing and that modern magic is basically Explorer's Magic—what old [[Adventurers]] learned taught themselves without understanding it. The Archmage complains about wanting a space for herself to have with other experts with Hedault sharing that he is looking for a place to move to, the other mages agree with the notion of not having a real place where they can hone on their magic or teach others. After teaching Imani how to cast [Light], Valeterisa wants to build such a place and gather enough money to purchase [[Heorth]], Nanette then asks the Archmage what kind of place of learning she would create with Valeterisa envisioning an institute that one can see and delve into the wonders of magic.
| | Before they get back, the [Mages] discuss the founding of a new magical academy near Liscor, and despair at the sheer amount it would cost. Valeterisa adds that before she can even think about such a thing, she wants to buy from the librarian of Fissival, the Djinni Heorth. Nanette hints that funding all this might be a possibility, and as they arrive back at the Wandering Inn, they meet Saliss, who is in the process of selling the extremely magical seith to Lyonette. |

| Collecting her payment from House Wellfar, Valeterisa was also able to nab a magic-sensor from them as the group returns back to the inn, Grimalkin and Hedault discuss with Valeterisa about how they should set up the safe room for her magic studies. Lyonette then appears shouting about the sensor attacking someone, everyone rushes down to find [[Saliss Oliwing|Saliss]] hiding from the lightbeam of the magic-sensor as it detect something intensely magical with him. He takes out a locked box that contains [[Seith]] in it willing to sell each piece for 100,000 gold, giving a diabolical smile Lyonette offers to purchase two pieces making Saliss wonder about the secret of the inn, Valeterisa herself was looking at a mountain of the [[High Passes]] seeing that it was a nice spot to build something on.
