Khelt is in danger of falling; the souls that powered their undead workforce, which gave them intelligence beyond any other undead, are inaccessible. Without this workforce, bugs are appearing in the paradise of Khelt and its people, unused to such, are getting panicked. Frieke befriends Pewerthe by shared commiseration on the softness of Kheltians. Alked Fellbow visits the Nomads of Zair, and the three Gnoll tribes who have been allowed into Khelt, to see how they are acclimating to it. Pewerthe visits Colovt and finds that the fields are not producing anything, for some reason. Fetohep falls asleep, and the undead of Khelt stop in the streets. Outside of Khelt, the three Jaws of Zeikhal that are at the borders rebel and start killing people from surrounding nations; Medain, Claiven Earth, and A'ctelios Salash. Pewerthe tells all that this is happening because Fetohep was angered by the killing of his citizens. Fetohep soon wakes up and takes control of the Jaws again. Then came the Prophet.
