| Teresa Atwood and King Fetohep discuss the Vampires. Nawalishifra discovers that the Naq Alrama ingots sold to the King of Destruction, forged by her father, were flawed and thus completely worthless. Trey Atwood gets on a ship bound for Wistram Academy, under the alias of Troy Atlas, and meets another Earther by coincidence. King Raelt prepares to surrender to Reim, but manages to extract a contract for war from Medain, Nerrhavia's Fallen, and the Claiven Earth. Raelt duels with Jecaina, and consults the Quarass about his options. After he decides to accept Flos' peace treaty, High King Perric of Medain instructs a Gold rank team to kidnap Jecaina in order to force Raelt to continue the war against Reim. Raelt and Flos ride towards Medain to rescue Jecaina. Minotaurs land and kill several of the adventurers kidnapping Jecaina before marching on Flos' army.
