The Ekhtouch Tribe is a powerful but very small tribe. They have less than a thousand members, but those members are all physically superior to the average Gnoll. They are visibly taller and have well-kept fur. This is due to their practice of perfectionism and selective breeding.<ref name=":0" />
They claimed to be the best at whatever they did, by virtue of heritage. They seek perfection in everything. They valued only the best craftsmanship, honed their talents to mastery, improved their bodies to peak fitness, and ate regimented meals. They aspired to have children that were even more superior.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2021/07/13/8-30/ Chapter 8.30]</ref> Ekhtouch children of roughly equal talent in one field are often partnered together to compete.<ref name=":1" />
They could get get philosophical about this, loving to question what is perfection, and if it mattered if a master of the spear isn't a [Spearmaster] because they've never encountered another nor are recognised by a Walled City.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2022/05/03/8-83/ Chapter 8.83]</ref>
Their focus on superiority also makes them act superior towards other Gnolls, which is why other tribes do not look forward to interacting with them. They are seen as arrogant.
They have a prohibition from interbreeding with other tribes outside of arranged marriages into other tribes, in order to keep the bloodlines pure. Member of the tribe need permission from their Chieftain to mingle with other tribes. Sexual encounters that will not result in children are allowed.
