Meanwhile, Lyonette, Saliss, and the [[Wilovan|Gentlemen]] [[Ratici|Callers]] head to Oteslia to research a cure for Erin's frozen state. Based on intel from Selys, the Horns of Hammerad organized a massive raid on the [[Village of the Dead]] to find the Helm of Fire in the hopes of trading it for a cure.<br /> [[File:Innkeepervsgods-by-miguel.png|thumb|Innkeeper vs Dead Gods by [[Fanworks/Miguel|Miguel]]]][[File:Umbrellasketch-by-pkay.png|left|thumb|Erin with Sunlight Umbrella, by [[Fanworks/Pkay|Pkay]]]]While trapped in the "land of the dead," somewhere between life and death, Erin was first held hostage by [[Kasigna|Kasinga]]. The god wanted to find what made Erin special. To do this, Kasigna created an illusion that Erin had woken up back on Earth, and was one of the first individuals from the "Spirited Generation" to return to Earth. However, Erin realized that she was trapped in an illusion after growing suspicious of the fact that she was able to constantly beat her computer in chess (as she was actually playing Kasigna). Before being devoured by Kasigna, Erin was able to escape with the intervention of [[Maviola El|Maviola]], Zel, [[Sserys]], and [[Califor Weishart|Califor]], though both Maviola and Zel ended up sacrificing themselves. She reached the land of House [[Byres Family|Byres]], and was temporarily shielded by [[Yderigrisel]], the knight-dragon. When three of the dead gods were able to subdue all the ghosts within the sanctuary, Erin and Califor were able to escape with the help of the Putrid One. They were able to flee across the ocean to Khelt, where most of Chandrar's ghosts were protected by Khelt's rulers. However, they weren't able to withstand all six of the dead gods. In a last ditch attempt, Erin was able to summon the umbrella that brought forth sunshine from the land of the living (offered to her by Tamaroth during the Winter Solstice), and the blade of kings that belonged to King Arthur, causing the gods to flee.{{ref|8.11 E}} Erin was one of the only beings in the land of the dead that has a chance of coming back. She meets many famous figures, and under the tutelage of several [Witches], Erin is tasked with listening to the stories of the ghosts present, becoming acquainted with figures such as the [Sage] who invented Sage's Grass and [[Elucina]] the [Rebel of String].{{ref|8.22 HE}} She meets a Garuda [Pickpocket] named Cawe, who was a recently deceased [Slave] that was with Pisces as well. During Khelt's war with Medain and the Claiven Earth, she is present when the former rulers of Khelt are able to make contact with [[Fetohep]].{{ref|8.26 FK}} With his help, she is able to pass a message to her friends in the land of the living.{{ref|8.33 R}} Erin met [[Xarkouth]], a Void Dragon who spreaded word of Erin's existence to the ghosts on the other continents.{{ref|8.32}} He eventually returned to Khelt with several Terandrian ghosts, including a Wyrm named [[Calthusveri|Cathulsveri]] who divulged the true identity of [[Rhisveri Zessoprical|Duke Rhisveri]], as well as the existence of a Scroll of Resurrection.{{ref|8.43}} With Fetohep's help, Erin sent assistance to [[Ksmvr]] and [[Pisces Jealnet|Pisces]].{{ref|Chapter 8.58 PFH}} She listened in during the [Multi-Message Link] conversation between everyone trying to revive her.{{ref|8.60}} She accidentally found about the live people used to experiment for a cure, and was upset by their loss and sacrifice. However, she and the other ghosts are distracted when they sensed something from the edge of the world, and witnessed thousands of [[Seamwalkers]] crossing over the Last Tide. Transfixed by horror, they unknowingly spent a month watching the Seamwalkers.{{ref|8.61}} Erin and the other former rulers of Khelt warned Fetohep of the coming threat. Fetohep told them that four days prior, they attempted to revive Erin, but the body was stolen by another ghost. Erin almost gave into despair but snapped out of it by [[Nerrhavia (Queen)|Nerrhavia]]. Fetohep promised to help her friends, and led a massive charge across [[Chandrar]] to leave for Izril to help the [[Gnolls]] while he warned the world of a possible Seamwalker incursion. When four of the dead gods approached the ghosts, Erin blew the horn that was offered to her by [[Laedonius Deviy]] during the Winter Solstice, which echoed throughout the living and dead lands to her allies.{{ref|8.78 F}} While the Seamwalkers advanced on the dead lands, ghosts arrived from Baleros, led by Dragons, the [[Gnomes]] and Elves. [[Sprigaena]] the Traitor of Elves summons the [[Timewalker]] in an effort to wipe the dead lands clean of both Seamwalkers and dead gods. In a state of panic, Emmerhain uses a hidden backdoor of the [[System|Grand Design]], allowing Erin and the ghosts to regain their class and levels, allowing them to launch an attack on the Seamwalker horde head-on.{{ref|8.79}}While Erin and the Gnomes flee Chandrar by hitching a ride on Xarkouth, [[Zineryr]] tells her the story of the war against the gods and gives her important advice. Due to Erin using [Immortal Moment], she attracts the attention of the Timewalker, before Xarkouth is shot down by [[Emerrhain]]. They witness the Timewalker speed up time in the Dyed Lands, though the time distortion inadvertently summons every [Time Mage] in history to the present to fight the Timewalker. One of the [Time Mages] is a future [[Nereshal]], who warns Erin of the threat of the [[Othius the Fourth|Blighted King]]. Erin manages to escape the dead gods with interference from the other ghosts.{{ref|8.78 F}} It is later revealed that during the ritual to revive Erin, three of the dead gods nearly took her body, but General [[Sserys]] interefered. Possessing Erin's body, he and Relc head for the [[Meeting of the Tribes]]<nowiki>.{{ref|8.81}} Many of the ghosts who Erin had grown close to sacrifice themselves to try to stop the dead gods, including </nowiki>[[Serept]], [[Drevish]], and [[Abel]]. While [[Velzimri]] the [Sage of a Hundred Thousand Secrets] was also consumed by [[Norechl]], his last action was to create an alchemical explosion that safely sent Erin, [[Cawe]], and [[Gerial Doerisel|Gerial]] all the way to Terandria, smack in the middle of the gathering of Terandrian rulers and Dragonlords.{{ref|8.82 (Pt. 2)}} During the Faerie King's auction, he opened a portal to the lands of the dead, revealing the Seamwalker incursion to the attendees and guests. They launched a multiude of attacks to destroy some of the Seamwalkers, inadverdently creating cracks in reality, allowing ghosts to escape to the land of the living.{{ref|8.82 (Pt. 3)}} When [[Rhisveri Zessoprical|Rhisveri]] was about to kill Ryoka for murdering [[Fithea sor Kerwenas|Fithea]], much to his rage and confusion, Erin appeared in front of him, lecturing and waving a frying pan at him. While the ghosts of the Dragons, Wyrms, and Wyverns distracted Rhisveri, Ryoka escaped with the the Scroll of Resurrection while Erin. Cawe, and Gerial flew after her on [[Nirayicel]]. When Tamaroth tried to absorb Erin, he was stopped by [[Razia]], an [[Agelum]] who accidentally fell in one of the cracks to the land of the dead. Immune to the dead gods' ability to absorb souls, Razia wrestled with Tamaroth and Norechl. During the Agelum's fight with the dead gods, Khelta uses a summoning spell to transport Erin to Izril. Much to the [Innkeeper's] grief, Cawe and Gerial are consumed by Tamaroth while they try to stop the God of Leaders from reaching Erin. Khelta attempted to reunite Erin with her body, but was unable to until [[Teriarch]] and [[Azβkerash]] takes it over for her. As Kasigna erased the land of the dead, Erin swore vengeance against the dead gods, promising to gather everyone in the living world to stop them.{{ref|8.85}} Successfully returned to her own body, Erin woke up in her room in The Wandering Inn, and was reunited with her friends and family. However, she was unable to remember her time spent as a ghost, much to her grief. The [[Grand Design of Isthekenous]] tried to grant her classes based on her interactions with the other ghosts, such as [Queen of Undeath] and [Dragonfriend], but failed, being unable to find the aforementioned ghosts though she was able to obtain the [Witch of Second Chances] class. As a work-around to properly reward her, the Grand Design unlocked the [[Quests|<Quest> function]] for the [Innkeeper] class, which allowed Erin to regain her memories of the ghosts. |}
