==Personality==
Despite her rank and position within Drake military, Garusa doesn't shy away from displaying her Gnollish humor.

==Background==
She is a specialist in brutal assaults and is a famous leader in her own right, a rare, high-ranking Gnoll within a Drake-dominated military. She is one of the lead generals of the coalition of smaller Drake city-states, the Esdras Coalition or otherwise known as Earthwatchers.{{ref|4.16}} The same alliance that [[Zel Shivertail]] had been part of.{{ref|4.16}} She had been personally taught by [[Zel Shivertail]].<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2018/09/01/5-16-s/ Chapter 5.16 S]</ref>

Later, after numerous scouting parties had disappeared without a trace, Garusa began to suspect that the Goblin Lord had intentionally chosen to retreat to the High Passes to trap his pursuers. Shortly after her conjecture, they are attacked on all sides by the Goblin Lord's forces. The Drake army and Goblins remain in a deadlock for days. Thrissiam and Garusa were unable to send out a [Message] spell through their [Mages]; the Goblin Lord's forces were blocking [Messages]. Thrissiam conceded that Garusa and Zel were correct to have been wary about the [[Reiss|Goblin Lord]], and that they needed to get word to the [[Walled Cities]] that the Goblin Lord could use undead and seemed to be a spell caster of some sort.

Garusa rescued Osthia when she made a reckless dive for the Goblin Lord and was shot down behind the line of Goblins. She defended Osthia when Thrissiam later reprimanded her.

Thrissiam made a plan to ambush the Goblin Lord, with Garusa leading the assault. She managed to reach the Goblin Lord, but [[Az'kerash]] took control of the Goblin Lord's body and protected him with a wall of bone. He killed Garusa and a swath of soldiers, raised their bodies, and set them upon Thrissiam's army. She was raised as a [[Draugr]]. She led the undead charge and was killed once more by Thrissiam.
