Initially Gazi hated him and his sister with all her soul for the simple fact that they were trusted and favorited by her King.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2017/05/05/2-00-k/ Chapter 2.22 K]</ref>

After she found out that he had a quarrel with her King about slavery, and his opinion that slavery is wrong, it remind her that just like him, she to hates slavery. She was further surprised to hear that he felt sorry that she was once a slave herself, and also genuinely laughed about his faulty idea to free all the slaves.

Due to all of this Gazi started seeing him as someone who think alike her, as they understand this one truth. She even started to trust him, as she thinks that he is not so different from her, and thinks that with time he may be able to change her King from his few of slavery.

Having formed a somewhat friendship with him, she started to teach him how to be a proper [Mage].<ref name=":4.06 KM" />
