== Appearance ==
Physiologically, he has the standard Antinium Worker appearance. As he is also a Painted Antinium he also has some colour on him, but his most distinctive feature is that back shell is sprinkled with dirt and grass glued together with a sort of resin.<ref name=":8.43">[https://wanderinginn.com/2021/09/22/8-43/ Chapter 8.43]</ref>He looks like a plant. Grass and some flowers are growing on his shell.<ref name=":0">{{VERef|Interlude – Adventurers (Pt. 2)}}</ref>

== Personality ==
Grass Shell has a deep fascination with grass and plants, collecting them and decorating his shell with greenery. After obtaining his [Shaman] class, he is shown to have an almost instinctive affinity with nature. During his travels with the [[Fellowship of the Inn]], despite his inexperience, he was consistently resourceful and pragmatic, making effective use of whatever tools and abilities he had. This was especially evident in how quickly he adapted to the [Shaman] class and contributed in battle with basic spells such as [Grow Grass]. 

He has a simple and straightforward outlook. When he briefly worried that someone might replace him, he accepts the possibility with calm resignation rather than frustration. Proud of his unusual specialization as a [Beekeeper Shaman], he views his duties with genuine satisfaction, taking pride in caring for the bees and happily noting the small benefits of the job, such as receiving free honey.<ref name=":0" />

== Background ==
Grass Shell is a Painted Antinium Worker from the [[Free Hive]] in Liscor.<ref name=":1" /> Similar to other Antinium from the Free Hive, he is likely to be very young (in the low single digit years) and that he lived some form of the standard Free Hive Antinium life of digging, fighting in the dungeon and other non-individual Antinium activities until he became a [[Painted Antinium]].

Grass Shell was one of the fifteen Antinium who volunteered to go after Mrsha after listening to Bird's speech and became part of the [[Fellowship of the Inn]].<ref name=":1">[https://wanderinginn.com/2021/06/22/8-29/ Chapter 8.29]</ref>

Like everyone else, Grass Shell participated in Bird ([[Niers Astoragon|Niers]]) mad sprint, which at the end may have allowed him some level up.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2021/08/31/interlude-of-vampires-and-fraerlings/ Interlude – Of Vampires and Fraerlings]</ref>

After learning from [[Ulvama]] about how [Shamans] get their power for magic. Bird theorized that Antinium could have [Shamans' as well. As such, seeing grass and dirt glued to Grass Shell's body, Bird deemed him worthy to have the [Shaman] Class. Believing what Bird told him and contemplated on being a [Shaman], Grass Shell received the class.<ref name=":8.43" />

When the [[Fellowship of the Inn]] first rescues a Gnoll tribe that was besieged by a drake army, he participated in the battle and summoned grass to trip enemies and burrs that hurt when you stepped on them.<ref>{{VERef|Chapter 8.52 MN}}</ref>

During the Fellowship adventures, he participated in social activities such as storytelling around the campfire.<ref>{{VERef|Chapter 8.60}}</ref>

On the road he continued to collect interesting grass, other plant matter and flowers to add them to his shell and the plants would not die even days after being cut off. He also further practised his battle technique of tripping people with grass against [[Merrik Hostone|Merrik]], tripping him multiple times when the Fellowship fought the Titan's students.<ref>{{VERef|Chapter 8.65}}</ref> 

He also participated in the battle at the [[Meeting of the Tribes]] though his actual battle contributions and impact is not known.<ref>{{VERef|Chapter 8.83}}</ref>

When [[Rasktooth]] and [[Infinitypear]] were having one of their first adventures on the [[Floodplains]], they also removed the plug from the cave where [[Apista|Apistas]] former [[Ashfire Bees|Ashfire Bee]] Hive is residing. Grass Shell saved them from the angry bees and revealed that he had taken over the job of feeding the bees because the Drake previously doing the job had overcharged and asked them if they were hired by [[Mrsha du Marquin|Mrsha]] and it was his time to lose the job. He also gave them some Ashfire Bee honey.<ref name=":0" />
