==== Volume 10 ==== When Valeterisa went to Heiste, he tagged along on invitation of Nanette. On the trip there he visited Ulta mansion to talk to Pryde and stood in front of the door for two hours but, to his disappointment, Pryde did not want to see him. He also confirmed that the letters he had send had been received. While talking to the other magic users on Heiste, he revealed that when he was still studying in Fissival, he applied for an exchange program at Wistram and even though he presented a paper on the theory of physical magic he would later become famous for he was rejected on the grounds that Wistram was a place for students to come to learn not for those that thought they were ready to teach. Instead, mage Rievan a first year student at the time without nearly as much research and fighting experience got the slot by telling the selectors what they wanted to hear and by having connections to the libertarian faction.
