The goblins left the next day to enact their plan of ambushing small groups of other goblins. They were able to get the drop on some, but eventually they faced 25 goblins at once, and despite their advantage in levels, the numbers difference was heavy. When the other goblins started to take advantage of this, a gold-rank adventurer, [[Ylawes Byres]], came by and slew the Goblin Lord's goblins. The redfangs went on to attack him until they realized that they were severely outmatched. Grunter took heavy injuries being run through by Ylawes and was about to be killed when the [Florist] attacked him. Even with her help, the goblins were ready to die until Toren took his opportunity to attack Ylawes and the [Florist] was able to pull Grunter away from the fighting while the others fled.<ref name=":0" />

The goblins and [Florist] did make it back to their camp, and they applied a healing potion to Grunter's wounds. He still needed a splint for his arm, but he wasn't in danger of dying once they applied it all. When the [[Reiss|Goblin Lord]]'s army came into the city in force, they initially watched from the sidelines. They had a clear path out, but the [Florist] wanted to help save the humans. When she charged into battle all of the Redfangs followed her. Charging into battle, she was shot in the back and in their grief, the goblins fought. Grunter specifically ran straight at the goblin commander and took them out in a suicidal charge. The remaining goblins took out Toren after losing many of their number and only six managed to escape the city.<ref name=":2" />
