== Overview == While currently unknown why, the High Passes were created long ago by some [Mages] with spellcraft.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2020/05/27/7-25/ Chapter 7.25]</ref> This happened long ago, but in a time when [[Walled Cities]] already existed.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2020/07/08/7-33-i Chapter 7.33 I]</ref> Archmage Chaiemegia estimated the High Passes' height to be more than 70'000 feet (23'300 m). ''It's unclear if that measurement is taken from ground altitude of the plains or from sea level, and also where in the mountain range that measurement was supposedly taken - but given that estimation, it hardly matters, and it might apply to several peaks all over the range.'' The monsters in that area are so dangerous that one needs fighting skills, or insanely high levels above Level 40, to get out unscathed.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2016/12/14/1-07-r/ Chapter 1.07 R]</ref>
