Idis argues with Geneva over her decision to leave Talenqual for Liscor. Under orders from Calectus and [[the Minds]], Idis reluctantly immobolizes Geneva's body and assists her in kidnapping her.<ref>[[Chapter 8.15]]</ref>
While with the Minds, Idis continues to be the host Selphid for Geneva in between her sessions with the Third Mind, while also training with [Guardian] [[Ressk]].While she continues to obey the Minds' orders, Idis is shown to be conflicted over the ethics of keeping Geneva prisoner. She later accompanies Geneva to the Second Mind, where she is chastened for following Calectus' orders, though Geneva defends her. Idis witnesses the Second Mind giving Geneva the [Telepath] class, hiding it from the other Selphids.<ref>[[Chapter 8.51 D]]</ref>
