These claims contradict each other, and while we all know the concept of the "unreliable narrator", this is Ryoka in the role of an "informed narrator" and pirateaba's mouthpiece for world-building. Ryoka+Aba do that a lot in the early chapters, and much of that is still the information about InnWorld that this Wiki relies on.
