We zoom out from Normen's success at Reirgest to the Grand Design and its plans for the world. It is changing things around in a way to rebalance the system and make use of unused features. As part of the process chess gets recategorized into <entertainment>, more classes get the ability to give quests, and titles get created. The Grand Design also realizes that there are loopholes to the rules allowing it greater leeway in rewards for titles.

Normen and Zanze gain the title, "Champion of Reirgest" and the skill, "Summon Skeleton Retainer." Skeleton Retainers are smarter and stronger than regular skeletons, but not as strong and smart as skeleton knights. These ones also have a slight orange glow to them thanks to the nature of their summons and are described as being "new bone."  They solve the problem of getting back to Celum by borrowing skeleton horses from Reirgest and saying that they were Pisces, who Normen holds in esteem and describes as "having nasal problems and acting high and mighty."

Erin deploys [Boon of the Guest--- Mrsha] to save the life of Ritanne, the little girl who asked for food from Santa because her village's crops were burned by a strange, vengeful half-elf (implied to be Tolveloukia). Erin levels up in her [Witch of Second Chances] to Level 19 and gains [Ritual of the Verdant Bloom]. Lyonette discovers that she can post classes now as a <ruler> including [Post Royal Quest].

Mrsha annoys everyone in the inn enough that Erin posts <Basic Quest: Go Annoy Someone Else> to get Mrsha to spread the news to people around Liscor like Zevara and Selys as well as inform Fetohep and Niers via message spell. When she does, she is rewarded with 4 silver and a gigantic cinnamon cookie. After a slight delay, Mrsha gets [Title - Conqueror of One Hundred Quests (basic)] and is rewarded with [The Wand of the Mrsha]. It is a child's wand with a star on the tip with a grip meant for gnoll paws and capable of casting tier 1 spells. It is notable in that is can cast one or two free spells each day and the way the enchanting is done on the wand is just a little bit nicer than most enchantments. It is mostly valuable to Mrsha to use and mages to study.

Relc's meal is stolen by an invisible Valeterisa as he works on her puzzle block. Once she is uncovered, the two start discussing their puzzle obsession and Valeterisa discovers she is interested in Relc. Menolit gains the [Wingman] class by noticing her interest and absenting himself. Visma also seems close to aquiring it.

Elia Arcsinger tries to retain a gold rank team to act as backup for her goblin hunting trip and bemoans the expense. Elia's level and class are revealed to be Level 42 [Nemesis of Goblins, Ranger of Renown], her named rank status has more to do with fame and less to do with level. She also has second thoughts about assassinating the goblins at The Wandering Inn fearing Tessa and Erin's reprisals. We end the chapter with Elia wondering why Velan the Kind called her Sprigaena as he was dying and how she will never know more about it after she carries out this hit.
