Irurx has soot-like streaks in his hair and reddish-green eyes. He has burn scars all over his body, which is most likely why he prefers to wear a mask and gloves. He wears faded expensive, enchanted robes that are worn dark from alchemical stains.

Irurx has a fearsome reputation, and lacks any moral qualms whatsoever. He will do anything to further his research, evident by him buying and experimenting on [Slaves].  While quite polite to Ceria, it was mostly because he desired her relic-class artifact, and later because he thought she could understand him.

Irurx was born in the village of Therwardn. He studied bugs, pests and plagues that even the half-Elf sanctuary he called home had trouble removing, and it would become the foundation of his work as an [Alchemist]. When he created a never-before-seen insect, his village cast him out at exactly a hundred years old.

Irurx participated in an experiment in Nerrhavia's Fallen with other alchemists called the Grand Endeavour, which involved flesh of A'ctelios Salash. The alchemists were arrested for delving into dark alchemy, and sentenced to death by burning. Irurx survived and returned to his village to heal. However, Therwardn renounced him instead and later chose to disperse, out of shame of being associated with him.

Half-Elves would try to burn him to death again repeatedly, fuelling a hatred against his own kind. For 81 years, Irurx has been hunted the world over as a criminal, though some ports tolerate him for the potions he sells. He experiments on people he captures and [Slaves] he buys within his ship, and turn them into members of his horrific crew. Even [Slavers] of Roshal have fled upon seeing his work.
