== Background == As the main Lizardfolk company, Jungle Tails has existed for thousands of years, predating the [[Creler Wars]]. Over two hundred years ago, they reached the height of their power when the Lizardfolk dominated over Baleros in the form of the Nagatine Empire, even threatening other continents.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2022/12/07/interlude-age-and-tales/ Interlude β Age and Tales β The Wandering Inn]</ref> However, they were weakened when the Lizardfolk's source of power, the [[Eyes of Baleros (Relics)|Eyes of Baleros]], were lost, causing the empire to fall.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2023/07/01/9-50/ 9.50 β The Wandering Inn]</ref> While Jungle Tails still retained the status of a Great Company, they lost it to the Forgotten Wing Company in a series of bloody battles. Nearly a decade ago, Jungle Tails initiated a project involving kidnapping children to experiment on them in response to losing footing against the rising Forgotten Wing Company. Those responsible were killed by their victims, and the children are kept contained in the city of Oelnnox by the Forgotten Wing Company to this day.<ref>{{VERef|10.08 (Pt. 2)}}</ref>
