==Behavior and Culture==
The Lizardfolk live primarily in the jungles of Baleros, often near water.<ref name=":0" /> They are generally very social and touchy, but are uncomfortable when outnumbered. Lizardfolk will generally push those they dislike out of the group.<ref>{{VERef|10.06}}</ref>

They are a very populous species, and are estimated to number twice as many as Izril's combined Drake and Human population.<ref name=":1">{{VERef|10.08 (Pt. 1)}}</ref>

They are usually led by and follow the commands of the members of their species that have evolved, the Nagas. The Nagas of the larger Lizardfolk civilization enforce their rule by killing rebellious Nagas, designating the Nagas who reside in the Lizardfolk Temples as the "real Nagas".<ref name=":3" />

Primarily Lizardfolk cities twist and evolve with the surges of Lizardfolk migrations. In contrast, cities for Nagas are more permanent with thick walls.<ref name=":1" />

== History==
The Lizardfolk hold the record for having the most world-spanning empires in history.<ref>{{VERef|10.08 (Pt. 2)}}</ref> This is because every time they obtain the [[Eyes of Baleros (Relics)|Eyes of Baleros]], they enter a renaissance of power, which typically results in a new empire.<ref name=":2" /> 

The Nagatine Empire attempted to control Baleros and invade [[Chandrar]] and [[Izril]], the latter resulting in the [[Naga Incursions]]. They were repelled and lost the [[Eyes of Baleros (Relics)|Eyes of Baleros]] that empowered then, but remained powerful for a long time<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2022/12/07/interlude-age-and-tales/ Interlude - Age and Tales]</ref> until the [[Jungle Tails]], the greatest Lizardfolk company, was defeated and supplanted by the [[Forgotten Wing Company]].

While Drakes strongly dislike it if someone mistakes them with the Lizardfolk and they don't see them favourably at all, the Lizardfolk seem to be rather nonchalant about it, showing that the feud is more one-sided.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2018/03/03/1-03-d/ Chapter 1.03 D]</ref> Or not entirely one-sided, as when they are on the same side, Drakes could get on Lizardfolk nerves, which was actually fairly amazing to Dullahans, Centaurs, and Baleros’ Humans who lived together with them. It was all the Drakes military regulations like having to call out passphrases that changed every day whenever the Lizardfolk went for a walk or used the latrine or just at random, to which the Lizardfolk do not appreciate.<ref name=":8.76 B" />
