== Background ==
Long ago, selphids held control of many countries in a powerful Selphid Empire that stretched across Baleros<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2020/05/10/7-22-d/ Chapter 7.22 D]</ref> and possibly beyond. This empire made use of selphids' ability to control other living beings which made them more powerful than other species.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2019/04/09/6-06-d/ Chapter 6.06 D]</ref> The fall of this empire led to the destruction of much of the selphids. In order to survive, [[The Minds]] set strict rules for themselves that they would not violate for fear of complete destruction.

Selphids had been allowed to breach the Manician Wall in service of the Blighted Kingdom during the war with the [[Soiretham]].<ref>{{VERef|Another Time}}</ref>

Violations of the Minacien Wall are met with strict punishment often including death.<ref name=":0" /> These violations are taken seriously by selphid-kind as well as other world powers.
