== Background ==
Nanette was raised by Califor in a cottage by the [[High Passes]], and was watched over by a goat named Belfaus when her mother was away. One time, she wandered too far from the warded cottage, and [[Gargoyles]] snatched her and Belfaus, eating the goat. She was kept in a cave until Califor came to rescue her.
