Osthia was born with wings, full wings that allowed her to be capable of flight.

== Chronology ==
===<u>Volume 4</u>===
Osthia and six other [[Ancestor Guard]] Drakes who were capable of flight were commanded by Thrissiam to scout for the [[Reiss|Goblin Lord's]] forces within the [[High Passes]]. On the first scouting mission, Osthia's team didn't find any sign of Goblins, but she could feel that something was watching her.

Days later, Thrissiam sends Osthia's winged Drakes to watch over the army's scouting parties, as a dozen Drakes and Gnolls had gone missing. Despite Osthia's efforts, they were unable to find a trace of the missing [Scouts]. Later, Osthia had been resting in the camp when Goblins and undead attack from multiple directions. She had been alone, separated from her company. She encountered gray exploding [[Zombies]], and found that they could be countered by having their ranged forces priortize them. She used an acid-like spitting ability to destroy one of the gray Zombies. Soon after, Osthia saw the [[Reiss|Goblin Lord]] for the first time. He had been overseeing the attack from a distance.

During the Goblin assault Thrissiam and Garusa's relationship became known to Osthia, who had been upset. She had been wanting to romance Thrissiam, a distant cousin and uncle. Enraged, Osthia spotted the Goblin Lord and took a chance on attacking him. She was shot out of the air and fell behind enemy lines. Garusa saved her by leading a charge straight through the Goblins to rescue Osthia. Her respect for the Gnoll grew, however she still hated her for winning Thrissiam's affection, if fleetingly, during the assault.

Osthia assisted Garusa in Thrissiam's planned ambush. Despite this, [[Az'kerash]] intervenes to protect the Goblin Lord and killed Garusa. Osthia's fellow Oldblood soldiers had been killed as well as a swathe of their army. They were then brought to life to attack their remaining forces. She was bid by Thrissiam to fly away and flee, to warn the rest of the cities of what happened. Despite her flight, she was captured. She soon witnessed the Goblin Lord and Az'kerash talking to each other through the Goblin Lord's body. After Az'kerash's lecturing, she spat acid at the Goblin Lord to no affect thanks to his Ring of Protection and [Ward of Repulsion]. He insisted that he and Osthia had a common enemy: Az'kerash, and demanded that she tell him of what Drakes knew of the Necromancer.

Osthia remained a prisoner of the Goblin Lord's army as the force marched north to [[Tremborag]]'s mountain. While her wings were manacled, she was not completely restrained and was able to move about on foot. To her surprise, Reiss' goblins largely left her alone besides feeding her as required. 

Out of sheer isolation, Osthia found herself willing to engage Reiss in conversation. She acted as a sort of reluctant advisor as the Goblin Lord sized up Tremborag's defenses. All the while, she kept the possibility of escape in her mind in case any opportunity should present itself. She listened intently to reports during the battle, especially taking interest at news of a fast-moving human army of thousands suddenly approaching.

As the human army drove the goblin armies south, Osthia was kept close to Reiss. [[Rags]] expressed surprise that she was not totally bound. Osthia was unimpressed upon meeting the diminutive Chieftain. 

As [[Az'kerash]] had previously ordered Reiss to kill Osthia, the Goblin Lord saw fit to prepare an enchanted ring to protect his prisoner. While in control of Reiss' body,  Az'Kerash attempted to kill Osthia with a [Deathbolt]. She was saved by Reiss' ring, entering a [False Death] state rather than dying outright. 

Osthia survived the Battle of Liscor, crawling through the aftermath to within two miles of the walls. She decided to run the remaining distance in a desperate attempt to ensure her information about Az'Kerash's survival was not lost. She was found by [[Ilvriss Gemscale|Wall Lord Ilvriss]]. Already aware of the Necromancer's survival, he asked her to keep her information private to preserve the advantage of secrecy.

Following the battle's conclusion, Osthia assumes a false identity as Major Asrira Shieldscale of [[Salazsar]], posing as a military aide to Ilvriss.
