I disagree, I think that at least Skeldriv is independent, they are hired by the Forgotten Wing Company while probably having some loyalties. Why would Niers ask about Skeldriv's commander learning that she retired, he should know that already if it was one of his own commanders. They fit the same mold as Bodies of Fellden in my eyes.

Shoreaxes I'm mixed on as the wording is a bit vague to me, "the right to hire" paints the picture that they are independent while "to join his Great Company" can range to being just hired mercs to becoming a part of Forgotten Wing.

I find Jirem's Hooves and Fullhelm as the same as Skeldriv but we haven't seen enough of their members to see where they land on the loyalty scale. - [[User:Dynwll|Dynwll]].

*I'll defend my assertion that these aren't independent companies under Forgotten Wing's authority and instead units in the company. Along with their uniform specializations, their monikers seem more like unit names instead of company names. Like Fleethoof's Gale, the unit commanded by Perorn, who is not the commander of another company that's contracted to the Forgotten Wing, but a full member of the Great Company. - [[User:Tnoz|Tnoz]]
