Erin accidentally destroys magical runes for food preservation and throws out a goblin. She is observed by another small Goblin and both are observed by a mysterious figure.
Synopsis[edit | edit source]
Erin's POV[edit | edit source]
Erin awoke with a burning pain in her hand, and unable to sleep, she wandered around the inn. After eating more blue fruits, she ventured outside for relief. It took longer than expected as she lost her way, but she managed to find the stream where she could dunk her hand in the cold water to soothe her hand. Unfortunately, the bandage on her hand became soaked and bloody, prompting Erin to find a way to remove it. After searching the kitchen for something sharp, she found magically preserved food in a cupboard with runes. She accidentally scratched the runes off with her fingernail and realized she had deactivated the magic.
As Erin sat in the common room, she tried to distract herself from the pain and her mistake. She went upstairs to check on a skeleton she had discovered the other day, only to find it missing. Paranoid and frightened, she heard creaking floorboards and prepared herself for an encounter. With relief, she soon realized it was just a Goblin, which she threw out of her inn. Outside, the Goblin's companions gathered their unconscious comrade and retreated into the night.
Little Goblin's POV[edit | edit source]
Unbeknownst to Erin, a small Goblin had been watching the entire scene. She almost liked the Human for beating the one who tried to creep into the second floor. However, this little Goblin wasn't aware that she was also being watched by a mysterious figure.
Unknown Skeleton Thief's POV[edit | edit source]
The crouched figure stared at both the Goblins and Erin. The figure returned to his lair, intent on using the bones he acquired for his latest project.
