Appearance[edit | edit source]

Personality[edit | edit source]

Background[edit | edit source]

Mire was the assassin identity of Chena Vall who posed as a [Trader]-[Alchemist] with many well-paying clients. This would give her enough money and comfort to marry a local [Vintner] and settle down in a secluded manor on the edges of House Veltras' lands. She had three children with him and successfully hid her actual occupation from them for years.[1]

Chronology[edit | edit source]

When the Petals of Death, the leaders of Circle of Thorns, had finally voted to spare no costs to kill Lady Magnolia Reinhart once and for all, they contacted the Assassin’s Guild to ensure her end.[2] In turn the Assassin’s Guild contacted Mire and their other high-ranking professional members about the contract to kill Lady Magnolia, and the guild gave them the location on where Magnolia would be. They also told them to work together for this contract.[3] Mire and four other high-ranking Assassin accepted the contract and began to mobilize.[4] Along with this, the Circle decided to approach Tyrion Veltras to become the new agent/leader of the north.[2]

Mire and the other assassins successfully ambushed Magnolia on her way to First Landing and the Guild had the attack broadcasted. She transformed into a minotauress and was in charge of Magnolia herself. When the assassins were about to kill her though, Tyrion Veltras came in to help her. He saved Magnolia and in the process cut off Mire's arm and shoulder. Magnolia was then teleported away by Teriarch leaving Tyrion to deal with the assassins. They attacked him but shortly thereafter were told to call off the attack.

To punish Tyrion for his betrayal, the Circle and the Assassin's Guild poisoned Tyrion's children and stopped any antidotes from being made or delivered unless he were to submit to their authority. Instead, Tyrion sent out a call for help and eventually a cure was made that had to be delivered by runners. The assassin's guild in its entirety set out to stop them including Mire. Mire personally fought against the cure deliverers and those that helped them many times throughout the run until eventually seeing enough of her fellow assassins and Faces die, and she ran from the fight.[5]

She did not go unpunished though. She ran back to her manor in the dead of night and tried to flee with her family, but Mire was followed by an army from House Veltras. Mire's identity was revealed as Chena Vall and her life as an assassin was shown to her family that she had hidden it from for years. Chena tried to bargain away the information she knew of the other members of the guild for her life, but the Veltras Commander had orders to execute her, so he did so without listening to her information.[1]
