Psionics is the ability to control or manipulate physical matter through use of the inherent strength of a persons mind. Unlike magic or miracles, it is an entirely internal form of power. Relying on the strength of ones mind rather than Mana or Faith and a higher power.

While most living beings have a nervous system or mind of some sort. And many more that aren’t living have something similar as well. Psionics is a very rare art and only a few races have comfortably mastered applications of it.
Selphids are the most publicly known users of Psionics, capable of learning it directly. Or harnessing it through the formation of a Selphid Mind. Selphids focus on an even range of both Telepathic & Telekinetic abilities.
Antinium are another race known for utilizing Psionics. They however focus entirely on telepathic applications, through their so called ‘Unistatis Networks.’ Antinium can exist as part of a unified Hivemind. Unlike regular hiveminds though, Antinium treat the Unistatis Network as both public forum & storage space. Able to keep their individuality, if they have it, and their very souls inside a stable network.
Crelers are another race known to be able to use Psionics. They’ve only been shown to use Telepathy though to communicate with each other or other races. Elder Crelers have more advanced capabilities, able to ‘taint’ an entire area for lack of a better term with their Psionic Energy. ‘Coloring a nest with shades of violence and hatred that’s both disgusting and horrifying to look at.’
Wyrms, being the evolutionary basis for Crelers also posses Psionic capabilities. Though Rhisveri has shown to be only capable of Telepathy.
An unknown race of aquatic ‘Moss People’ existed deep in Rhir that could utilize psionics. They were capable of much of the same ‘emotional colors’ abilities Crelers held, but used them much more positively. They would interact with Klbkch and later help the Antinium develop their Unistatis Network abilities thousands of years ago.
Certain tribes of Lizardfolk with ‘glowing brains’ living deep in the Mindscape Ruins are suspected to have Psionics abilities as well.
Finally. It’s suspected Gazers & Seamwalkers have the ability to use Psionics as well.
It should be noted that regular species not listed are capable of gaining Psionic abilities. It seems the lack of it is more due to lack of information than an inability to learn it. As Pallas’s Second Army & Geneva Scala are capable of using Psionic abilities. It seems the major issue is lack of awareness that Psionics can be its own branch of abilities and powers separate from conventional Magic’s & Aura.

Like Miracles. Psionics as a power source are incredibly obscure, with very few actions in the modern era capable of using them effectively or openly.
Psionics also does not exhaust any Mana when being used. And [Anti-Magic] skills fail to affect true Psionics in anyway, shape, or form as Psionics is not magic, in Innworld at least.

However, Psionics does not appreciate the same benefits afforded to users of [Miracles].
Psionics are also capable of being disrupted by several factors. One is materials like Selrite, which naturally disrupt Psionics used at or around it and its users. Second is a bigger, meaner, or stronger Psionic user. Third is mass, Psionic users are much more limited by the mass and quality of their physical bodies when it comes to the scope of their Telekinetic abilities. Fourth are dedicated skills and classes against Psionic abilities.
Types of Psionics edit edit source
While not all forms of Psionics are known. Several abilities have been showcased.
First is Telepathy. A Psionics user can speak directly to the mind of a person without saying a word or casting a spell. They can further master this ability to download information into their mind, hold detailed discussions, usurp control of their body, or store the soul of a person in a psychic network.
Telekinesis is the manipulation of physical matter. And likely has branches for specific types of manipulation, but its main use in the story has primarily been of manipulating bodies. Telekinetics can do anything from maneuvering a scalpel to smashing a rock to pieces with their mind.
Third, and the most esoteric ability of all. Is, for lack of a better term, ‘Coloring’ an area with a form of psychic light that represents a certain emotion or idea. These colors can be used to set up traps like usurping a victims senses. Coloring an area with ‘Suicidal-Depressive-Sadness-Blue’ to distract opponents from casting spells.
