Not all Arthurian Legends make the sword name interchangeable. While typically it's seen as a translation; Caliburn being Old-Welsh and Excalibur being Brittonic. Some texts (Post-Vulgate Cycle 1230-1240) make them two unique swords or make the sword in the stone unnamed.
