Vaulont, or Vaulont the Ash, is a Vampire who works as an assassin.

Like most Vampires, he has pale skin, pointed teeth, and red eyes, although his eyes are a brighter shade of red than Fierre's. His hair is naturally red and black, but dyes it silver. He is covered in scars from rashes as a child.[1]

Valulont is straight-laced, business-like person. He is honorable, shown when he chose to stop chasing after Ryoka Griffin, as he believed he owed her a debt for uncovering the true reason behind the Vampires' "illness."[2] Additionally, he does not like indiscriminately draining blood from other non-Vampires, while also refusing to share with other Vampires, believing it would draw needless attention.
He is cautious of doing anything that would reveal the existence of Vampires to the rest of the world. He has a resentment towards the Byres Family for well-seeding silver in Izril.

When Vaiulont was young, his entire family died early from silver poisoning. Vaulont became an assassin to sustain himself, burning his victims to ash to hide his tracks. At some point, he became a Face.

He possesses the standard Vampire abilities and weaknesses. He presumably has the training of an [Assassin], though he lacks the class or the ability to level. However, he is at least proficient enough to be considered a Face.
