Allaif accompanied his sister, [[Nawalishifra Tannousin]], to the [[Jerios Bazaar]] to help sell [[Naq-Alrama Steel|Naq-Alrama ingots]] for [[Tannousin Clan|their clan]] to survive the year. He would try to flatter and smooth things over with potential customers, to his sister's ire. While Nawal was discussing a deal with a [[Trey Atwood|foreigner]], Allaif returned with the [Merchant] [[Redif]], a [Slaver], and some thugs. He announced to Nawal that he had managed to strike a deal of his own, to sell all of their metal to Redif, in exchange for selling Nawal as a slave. He had signed a contract with Redif in blood.{{ref|Flos}}

Allaif refused to see what he had done as wrong; he implored Nawal to go with Redif quietly. In outrage, Nawal renounced him, then stabbed and killed him with her dagger.{{ref|Interlude - Flos}}
