Chronology

Volume 5

Allaif accompanied his sister, Nawalishifra Tannousin, to the Jerios Bazaar to help sell Naq-Alrama ingots for their clan to survive the year. He would try to flatter and smooth things over with potential customers, to his sister's ire. While Nawal was discussing a deal with a foreigner, Allaif returned with the [Merchant] Redif, a [Slaver], and some thugs. He announced to Nawal that he had managed to strike a deal of his own, to sell all of their metal to Redif, in exchange for selling Nawal as a slave. He had signed a contract with Redif in blood.

Allaif refused to see what he had done as wrong; he implored Nawal to go with Redif quietly. In outrage, Nawal renounced him, then stabbed and killed him with her dagger.
