Having drunk the magical nectar of the [[Faerie Flowers|faerie flowers]] on a regular basis, Apista's mana reserves have increased, allowing her to create hotter, brighter flames which also won't extinguish as quickly compared to other ashfire bees.<ref name="6.08" /> She attached the remains of [[Belavierr Donamia|Belavierr]]'s Naq-Alrama needle to her stinger, letting her sting past magical protections.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2021/06/26/interlude-the-pets-of-innworld/ Interlude - The Pets of Innworld]</ref> She became able to use Erin's memory flames, and inspired by [[Valeterisa Imarris|Valeterisa]]'s feat of lifting [[Fissival]], she can use flames to propel herself like a small rocket, regaining her ability to fly after she lost her wing.<ref name=":0">[https://wanderinginn.com/2022/10/09/9-19/ Chapter 9.19]</ref>
