Bird and Pawn came back to help rebuild the inn after Skinner's attack. The two were in charge of the construction project and helped to coordinate other Antinium workers while taking breaks to play chess.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2017/04/13/2-11/ Chapter 2.11]</ref> Bird continued to accompany other Antinium at a later date when he acted as guardian/minder of the Antinium visiting the inn.
