=== Volume 8 === During [[Ceria Springwalker]]'s stay in Savere as a guest of [[Revine Zecrew]], she had drinks several times with some of the Bloodtear Pirates, including Captains Aldrail and Jiupe. During one of their drinking session, the Bloodtear Pirates killed several Blackbeak Raiders, after one of them insulted Ceria.<ref name=":1" /> This provoked a war between Bloodtear and Blackbeak, leading to a Drowning Night, where Bloodtear Pirates started killing Blackbeak Raiders en-masse, potentially threatening to conquer Savere.<ref>[[Chapter 8.57 H]]</ref> During the Drowning Night, Ceria fought some of Bloodtear Pirates. She and Revine were able to drive them away from Savere by combining their magics to use [Rain of Frozen Tears].<ref name=":3" /> During the Seamwalker invasion of [[Kasignel]], [[Cauwine]] disguised herself as a ghost and appeared in front of the Bloodtear Pirates. Seeing them as "people who had no hope," Cauwine gave them all Skills that allowed them to steal the destinies of the people they killed.<ref>[[Chapter 9.64 BH]]</ref><ref>[[Volume 9 β Epilogue|Volume 9 - Epilogue]]</ref>
