=== Volume 9 === Captain Jiupe was Bloodtear's representative in a meeting between Bloodtear, the Undersea Crews, Rasea Zecrew, and Irurx the Alchemist. They played cards while watching the broadcast of the Bloodfeast Raiders attacking the village of Salefenwool. During the meeting, Irurx offered each representative eight thousand healing potions to join him to attack the incoming Terandria colony ships on their way to the New Lands of Izril. Only the Bloodtear Pirates ended up accepting Irurx's offer. As promised, thirty-two of Bloodtear's ships sailed to surround the Terandrian Fleet. At Prince Iradoren's suggestion, the Terandrian war council decided to test the Bloodtear Pirates by sending three ships crewed with [Knights], one of the Thousand Lances, and the Skyguard of Erribathe. All three ships were massacred by the Bloodtear Pirates and Irurx. As a result, the Terandrian Fleet sailed to the aegis of Wistram, but the Bloodtear Pirates continued attacking, killing nobles and [Knights], though sparing [Servants] and [Sailors]. The Terandrians were initially confused as to why the Bloodtear Pirates were unnaturally bloodthirsty when they were normally unwilling to fight on equal terms, along with the fact that ships would leave after attacking and killing entire crews. However, a [Message] from one of the fallen Taligrit ships revealed that the Bloodtear Pirates were stealing the fates of the nobility, such as their classes and Skills, their family's money, or even siphoning their luck and time. Wistram and several Terandrian kingdoms used long-range bombardment spells to attack the Bloodtear Pirates. However, Wistram was forced to stop after one of the Gnomes' safeguards against the Dead Gods, a halfling on the moon, prevented Eldavin from sending out a world-wide announcement revealing the existence of the gods, shattering much of Wistram's spatial enchantments in the process. After being freed by the Lucifen from Roshal's ship, Erin Solstice decided to sail towards the battle between the Terandrians and Bloodfleet to rescue Rabbiteater. With the help of the Lucifen (unwillingly), Ulvama, Admiral Dakelos, and the Horns of Hammerad, she attacked several Bloodtear ships, personally killing Captain Jiupe, while fending off several of Roshal's ships seeking to capture or kill the [Innkeeper]. Several of Erin's guests, including Ryoka Griffin, Nerry, Seve-Alrelious, Revi Cotton, Embraim, Rivel val Lischelle-Drakle, and Teriarch arrived to help the [Innkeeper]. While the Iron Vanguard initially stayed neutral, they along with Wistram began attacking the Bloodtear Pirates after emboldened by Rabbiteater calling them cowards. A Kraken also showed up attacking everyone, incited by Belavierr Donamia the Stitch Witch. Answering Ulvama's signal for help, Greydath of Blades swam in and started fighting the Bloodtear. However, alerted to the arrival of the Goblin Lord, the Terandrians, Iron Vanguard, and the Bloodtear Pirates started attacking him. When Erin called to Greydath to help her save Rabbiteater, she unwittingly made herself and her ship a target for everyone. Lord Firrus Kallinad called for a bombardment to kill the Goblin Lord, ignoring everyone else on Erin's ship. Archmage Verdan Blackwood was able to shield everyone, but was killed in the process, causing the Iron Vanguard to turn on the Terandrian Fleet. At one point, Iradoren tried to reveal Rabbiteater's identity and kill him, hoping to spin the tragedy of the debacle on the Goblin [Knight]. However, Erin killed the [Prince], then killed Admiral Rosech. The sea battle would afterwards be called the Night of Bloodtear. In the aftermath, the Bloodtear Pirates were effectively finished as a group, with the surviving members leaving with their new fates.
