== Background ==
Calanfer has once usurped one of the sixteen [[Dragonthrones]] and built their country around it.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2020/03/15/7-12-g/ Chapter 7.12 G]</ref> When it was founded, the lands used to be ruined by the [[Crelers]].

The country claims to have its roots roughly 6,000 years in the past, right after the end of the [[Creler Wars]], which means they are a very young nation by Terandrian standards<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2020/06/10/7-28/ Chapter 7.28]</ref> that needs to boast their claims with attributes like eternal<ref name=":6.03">[https://wanderinginn.com/2019/03/30/6-03/ Chapter 6.03]</ref>. The ruler of Calanfer occupies the Eternal Throne of Calanfer, and [[Lyonette du Marquin]] is the sixth princess in line to that throne.<ref>[https://wanderinginn.com/2017/05/14/2-21/ Chapter 2.21]</ref>

The kingdom of Calanfer does not lack for [Princesses] and [Princes], but is not notably powerful militarily or economically.
