Editing Category:Fanart-by-subject

This category is designed to sort all images in the Fanwiki by the depicted character<ref name="sidenote!">characters also means "subject", in case that animals, plants, objects or geographical features are shown.</ref>.

This category itself is intended to only contain categories. All fanart is supposed to go into the sub-categories according to the race of the depicted characters<ref name="sidenote!"/> (''only if'' these cannot be identified) or into the sub-sub-categories of the specific characters<ref name="sidenote!"/>. For example, an fanart of [[Pelt]] has to be sorted into "Fanart-of-Pelt", not into "Fanart-of-Dwarves"... unless the image also shows other, unidentified Dwarves as well.

All sub-categories are supposed to start with ''Fanart-of-<nowiki><subject></nowiki>''. This is contrary to the other main category system that sorts fanart by their creator, and starts with ''Fanart-by-<creator>''
